Howdy Fiverr Community,

About 3 days ago I started my first gig on Fiverr and I am absolutly loving the responses i’m receiving. Since I am still experimenting with my Gig here and there, I was wondering if someone would like to take a peek and give me an opion about my gig. I would really appreciate this.

Kindly Regards,
Nick Beun

Dear Nick:

I took a quick look at your profile:

Your profile image: I recommend a color photo of your smiling face LOOKING AT THE CAMERA.
Your one-line statement that appears on the profile page, directly below your user name: Meh.
Your profile text – note the edits:

Hi, I have over 3 years of experience with graphic design and [what kind of, if other than graphic] development. -Nick

Try to make this stronger by talking about how your skills benefit the Buyer and the fact that you are here to help the Buyer.

If you look just below your user name on this page, you see that your location of Netherlands is already provided, so there’s no need to say it again.

All your gigs should have video, 3 images, 2 pdfs (for more samples and your business policies), and so on…

Make a video of yourself talking to the camera, because this approach garners IMMEDIATE RESULTS. Include additional samples in the video!

“I will design a unquie” - “unquie” should probably be “unique”.

I suggest you reiterate your video and show a lot more designs in the time allotted. Take 5 to 15 seconds to greet the Buyer. Please note that you have the ability to set the “snapshot” of your video (see the IMGC thread below for screenshots of how to do that).

You need to clean up your English grammar, spelling, and punctuation throughout. Example, “logo’s” should probably be “logos”.

You need to learn to do keyword research and apply it to your gig titles. For example, you could buid one gig around Adobe Illustrator and another around Adobe Photoshop. I suggest you make commercial use a gig extra.

Until you reach Level 1, you should set your delivery time for the base package to 1 day. Increase delivery times as your volume of sales increases.

Your signature gig needs a lot of work to be viable.

Bottom line, you may have potential, but you have a steep learning curve ahead of you to make the best use of Fiverr.

Good luck,
Blaise

If you haven’t already read Strengths Finder 2.0 and taken that assessment, I suggest you do so, because it should give you the language to express your strengths and help you to brainstorm some gigs for which you are especially well qualified. Howdy Blaise,

First of all thanks for pointing out a lot of things, the past days I have been trying to get the best content out of me. I’m planning on remaking a video where I show a lot more of what I have in store.

  • I changed my profile picture.
  • Changed unquie to unique (Such a terrible misstake. 😵)
  • I changed my one-line statement to a simple quote (It still is related to designing.)
  • A new video will be coming up in the next few days.
  • Sadly enough I can’t put my deliveries on 1 day, mainly since I have actual work beside Fiverr.
  • I’m still designing examples for my signature gig, but it will become a lot better in the upcomming days.

Thanks for all of the tips, I applied most of them.
