Status of my Gig

Hi there! I just created my first gig on Fiverr a couple hours ago, and everything seems fine on desktop - it shows as an active gig on my computer’s browser, but when I switch to the mobile app and view my gig, it has a little orange “Pending Approval” button under it? Is this just an error with the mobile app, or is my gig actually not visible to others yet?

It has been a couple hours and there are 0 clicks on my gig - I’m not sure if this is normal or not, but I haven’t done any marketing or tried to get my work out there yet, so I’m not totally surprised if no one’s seen it yet. I’d just like to know that people don’t have a problem viewing my gig, if it’s still pending approval.

Also, hope this is the right place for this question!

Thanks!

If it’s a gig for banners and ads, I can see it just fine.

Is that Pokecommunity image your own work, and do you have the permission to use it here?

Thanks for letting me know! And yes, I run the PokéCommunity Facebook page, I make all the cover photos there, and on their Twitter platform.

Does anyone know if there’s a delay in the stats page, or when it updates? I know I have a few views at least, but it’s still showing as 0’s all across.

Dear Karen:

If you are expecting immediate sales, you should probably temper your expectations. You might get a sale today, but it’s more likely to take days, weeks, or months for your first sale.

Fiverr generally updates stats about once per day.

I suggest you use that time to thoroughly explore the resources below and do everything you can to make your gig(s) as compelling as you can.

I took a quick look at your profile:

Your profile image: I suggest a color image and that you smile.
Your one-line statement that appears on the profile page, directly below your user name: You don’t have one. You should get one and make it cool.
Your profile text: No suggestions.
All your gigs should have video, 3 images, 2 pdfs (for more samples and your business policies), and so on…

Make a video of yourself talking to the camera, because this approach garners IMMEDIATE RESULTS. Include additional samples in the video!

You have one gig showing, built around a fairly generic keyword.

I suggest you build additional gigs based around the graphics software packages you use (1 gig per software package). If you’re not already familiar with Canva, look into that and consider building a gig around that keyword.

If you can diversify the categories in which you offer your gigs, you will have more opportunities to respond to more Buyer Requests.

Unlimited revisions are a terrible idea.

You should explore adding packages sooner, and make revisions a gig extra. If you wait to add packages, you risk stalling your momentum. There are lots of resources below with in-depth information. Study the Fiverrcast transcripts for analytics, gig videos, packages, and much, much more. If you act now, you will make progress toward your Fiverr goals faster.

Example: Basic Package - 1 revision; Standard Package - 3 revisions; Premium Package - 5 revisions; gig extra - $5 per additional revision.

Good luck,
Blaise

Hi Blaise, and thanks for the response! I am not expecting immediate sales, I was just wondering if/why there is a lag in the stats page and if that affects my listing in any way, since there’s a discrepancy between actual views and views showed - but that makes sense, if it only updates once per day.

I will definitely work on getting more gigs out ASAP. On the revisions part, I was afraid that if I were as limiting as the top gigs in the field, then people have no reason to choose me over the ones with thousands of positive reviews, you know? But that makes sense also, establishing more structure in my gig earlier on, so I’ll make that change and look into the packages.

Again, thanks so much for the tips - that response was above and beyond what I was looking for with this topic, and it’s given me a lot to think about.

Sometimes Fiverr will have a few hiccups with things being displayed or updated correctly on the desktop or app. This has happened to me a couple times, and always resolves itself fairly quickly. You can always try refreshing the page, clearing your cache, or logging back in.

Thank you! The mobile app has indeed caught up now, guess I was just being impatient. 😃
