I still haven’t sold my first gig yet. I have responded to buyer requests, no luck there. Am I doing something wrong? How can I improve my gigs and get my first sale here on Fiverr?

You’ve built your gigs around generic keywords. I suggest you add gigs built around the specific software packages you use, after conducting thorough keyword research.

Also, you could read Influence by Robert Cialdini and Get Anyone to Do Anything by David J. Lieberman.

Definitely study Blaise’s advice. It made a huge difference in my sales.

You have three packages priced out at five, 10 and $15, all of which have the exact same content. I’m sure this would confuse a buyer. I don’t think new sellers should do packages. I think you should offer to do a huge amount of work for just five dollars. Just my opinion. We all had to slave away to get those first 10 sales under our belts.

If I want a background removed, I’m not wanting to wait 24 hours. I have a friend who had only a few sales in several months of being on Fiverr in an admin category. I told him if he would promise to “blast out” his work in 3 hours, he will get more sales. Now, three weeks later, he has 37 ratings. You should think about doing the same.

Hello cassiopei, first of all the kind of service that you’ve chosen to provide has tough competition here on Fiverr, I mean your Gigs where you provide service for “Removing Background” and “Whiteboard Animation” are some of the top competitive category. But having said that, you just need to stick to basics as well as do promote your services outside Fiverr as much as you can.

As a matter of course, when you edit your gigs in any way, you must be aware that it can take a day or so for the Fiverr editors to manually review your changes (they don’t always do this, but sometimes they do) and re-index your gig for search.

If you make judicious changes, then you may find that after your gig reappears, it actually ranks higher.

Unfortunately, sometimes these changes give you worse results or result in the removal of your gig.

The ways of Fiverr are mysterious and hard to fathom.
