Dear Guru:

What name do you like to be called? Your customers want to know what to call you.

I took a quick look at your profile:

Your profile image: I recommend a color photo of your smiling face. Others may recommend you use a logo or a caricature to protect your privacy. No reputable person associated with Fiverr recommends that you ever lie about your location or attempt to deceive Buyers with misleading information. (I’m not saying you have, I’m just including this information for the benefit of anyone else who might read this post.) This image of you scowling and wearing shades is a mistake. Take another picture in which you do not hide your eyes and in which you smile.
Your one-line statement that appears on the profile page, directly below your user name - note the edit: “There are three responses to a piece of design: yes, no, and WOW!” If Fiverr will not allow the “:” you will have to come up with something else, that is grammatically correct.
Your profile text – note the edits:

Your text here and in your gig description is off-putting. You come across as mean, arrogant, and pushy. “I will solve your problem and you will pay me” comes across as rude, and will not fly with Americans in particular. I suggest you study copy writing or hire a copy writer to make your profile and gig more appealing to Buyers.

Your attitude should come across as, “I am a professional and I am here to help you.”

All your gigs should have video, 3 images, 2 pdfs (for more samples and your business policies), and so on… For a design gig to have only 1 image makes no sense whatsoever. You seem to be completely unaware of the fact that you are in an extremely crowded niche.

Do your homework and learn how to appeal to Buyers. Create new gigs tailored around the software you use.

Unlimited revisions are a bad idea. Offer 1 or 2 and charge for additional.

Make a video of yourself talking to the camera, because this approach garners IMMEDIATE RESULTS. Include additional samples in the video!

Good luck,
Blaise

Same Problem not getting my first order!

Dear Noman:

Please review my response to Guru.

In your case, try another photo in which you are smiling.

Polish your English language, grammar, and spelling.

No one will hire someone to do Data Entry if that person has errors in their profile text.

You’re not looking for a position. You have a position. You are a freelancer on Fiverr. Re-do your profile to emphasize that you are a professional who is here to help the Buyer.

Good luck,

Blaise

i have worked to the best of my knowledge on my gigs.

Dear Noman:

Any place you have a photo of yourself, you should smile.

I don’t have to live with your results, so it’s up to you to study the site and learn how to best market yourself. I can’t decide for you what is best for you.

It should take you more than a month to work your way through all the links included with my earlier post in this thread.

Good luck,

Blaise
