  1. I received a letter to me that the support service needed to activate my account. I followed the specified link and then realized that this is a hoax. I was asked to enter the amount that is stored on my account, and then they asked me to confirm it. In general, I talked with them and realized that it was a deception, but this is strange, why the company Fiverr will not check the people who are registered with it. In my place, there could be a more trusting person!
  2. I dont know what is wrong with fiverr these days. They flagged my account due to location inconsistencies. I never left my country in my whole life for Christ's sake. I don't use a vpn. I didn't get a warning and its their final decision. They decided this without even asking me! A freelancer who works on their platform! Please fix this thing asap. I am a top rated plus on upwork the last 6 years. Never had any issue. I dont know how to explain this to my clients.
  3. Hi all, I am a new seller and waiting to receive an order from a buyer/client. But getting many spam messages instead. As a new seller I have been waiting for a new proper client message but it’s been annoying to get spam messages. How long will it take for a client to approach us? Would we really get any clients for the wait? Please advice. Thank you, Nisha.
  4. I am stuck in a complex situation. I have a client who is requesting me to register to his site, possibly before a deal is made. I am aware that both Fiverr and Upwork have rigid, even stubborn rules when it comes to contacting someone outside of their sites and I have had a problem on Upwork. But I feel this is complicating my communication with the client. It has come to the point where it looks like I am nitpicking, when I am usually a Yes-man to my clients (provided I am not breaking rules or doing something illegal). As far as I can judge, the task needs me to go to a site and register, which seems to clash with the rules of Fiverr. The buyer also shares links that make me understand the task I have much better. But the client needs to give me information about the task, which he feels he can only give through shared links outside Fiverr and not mentioned in the list of sites that can be shared. I also want to know if there is any Fiverr accepted way to call the buyer here (send a link to this thread) and have a conversation here where this wonderful community can give both of us advice. This is much needed. And I do feel annoyed that nothing is simple these days.
  5. Hello, I've been a fiverr seller since 2020, and I noticed some changes in the buyers "search for sellers" mechanism last month. I have doubts that this depends in part on the evaluation system changes, so I'm here to understand if some other sellers noticed this thing or if I'm the only one XD. In the last month, my gig impressions were 20% lower than the previous months, but I'm receiving an average of 3 "It's a match" offers from Fiverr every day (the majority of them are not fit for my skills). Before the update, I was receiving something like 1 "It's a match" per week, 20 times less than now! To give some context, my Success Score is 10/10, and it has never changed since the update, so I should be one of the top sellers for my gig field, so my impressions should have been at least stationary. So I'm thinking that Fiverr is pushing buyers to create general proposals (it would explain why I have so many "It's a match") instead of searching for an appropriate gig for their projects. Is someone else noticing this kind of change? I like Fiverr more than other platforms because of this buyer-seller mechanism, but it seems to me that Fiverr is going in Upwork direction. Thanks, Giulio
  6. To find buyer requests on Fiverr, you'll need to log in to your account and navigate to the "Selling" tab. From there, you should see an option for "Buyer Requests" where you can browse and apply for relevant gigs. If you're having trouble finding it, Fiverr's interface can be a bit tricky sometimes. Don't hesitate to reach out to their customer support for assistance. Also, if you're looking for more freelance opportunities, you might want to check out other platforms like Upwork or Freelancer. Additionally, for IT job opportunities, https://huntly.ai/employers/ offers a recruitment solution that could help you find freelance gigs or full-time positions in the industry.
  7. While this isn't a bad strategy per se, it should be coupled with several of the other tips mentioned above if you want to get the best results! Doing these things alone may be seen as spam to many and can have adverse effects. Also, concerning hashtags, each platform has a recommended amount of hashtags to use. More isn't always better when it comes to hashtags so it's important to follow the best practices of the platform you are using.
  8. I don't have the energy to report every single spam post. So, I want to draw the attention of staff members to this spam issue. The forum was spammed 3-4 hours ago and the spammer has created more than 29 posts. It's been 4 hours but the staff have not taken any action -- probably because no one else has reported anything. Can any available staff member please take a look at this and delete all these posts? After deleting those, please feel free to delete this post as well (if you want). @Kesha @Lena @milos_siena @frank_d @williambryan392
  9. If what I perceive as Fiverr CS sends me a message like this (as a newbie or someone who's not THAT tech savvy), how am I to know that they are leading me 'outside' Fiverr? I'm not saying people should fall for this (it's a pretty common scam, seems new here but I've seen it on many sites), but these people are literally CLAIMING to be CS, have a Fiverr profile picture (and recreate the site so it looks like Fiverr.) Is there a way for maybe an email or notification to go out for people to keep a close eye out for these spam messages? That way everyone would know and people would stop (hopefully) posting screenshots/etc. In this particular case, I genuinely think spreading the word is the right way to go because this scam is pretty scary.
  10. You have no severe penalties. There is one warning about spam, it looks like you contacted a buyer directly and offered your services.
  11. As I already said, I am top rated plus on upwork the last 6 years. I singed up on both platforms but fiverr wasnt working till a year ago. Upwork has real support, not some generic messages. You understand why I do this. I dont care about fiverr or the money I make here. Their behaviour is unacceptable and disrespectful. Do you think that support is free? We are paying for the support. I paid to get this scary generic violation email. Without any warning or any human being being able to reply. No platform is perfect. But these guys are a joke.
  12. You forgot the "don't use AI to spam" instruction! Have you seen how Fiverr sellers promote their gigs on social media?
  13. If I start mentioning every bug, the list will probably never end but I will try my best to name some. And I am aware that I am posting this in the 'Lounge' and not the 'Feedback' category because I have no hopes that Fiverr will even look at these issues and try to solve them. Some bugs have been there for more than 3 years, but still no resolution -- so, cough cough, no words to say anything. 1. Data of Promoted Gigs not updating: That's a different story as to how 80% of clicks through promoted gigs are just spam but today, my promoted gigs have stopped updating the data. For the past 9 hours, the same data has been visible and it's not updating. So, I have no clue how much I am spending, and due to the fear of getting a long bill of 1 million dollars (lmao, can't trust that I don't see a bug with billing), I have stopped promoting gigs until this issue is fixed. 2. I wrote a ticket to customer support to take a look at this issue of not updating Promoted gigs data -- and after a few minutes, I received this super-cute reply: just a single letter "s". And the best part is that on the Help Center website, there is no response visible at all, like nobody replied to my ticket. Bruh, what the hell is going on with Fiverr? I have no clue whether someone has replied, not replied, or just replied with this spam (spam from customer support, wow). 3. Whenever we keep our Fiverr app running in the background and open it again, this is what iPhone users see: nothing much but just a heart attack that they are banned from the platform. So, if you're owning an iPhone, good luck my friend, and don't forget to clear the app from 'Recent apps' every time. Apple was so proud that their phones don't lag even when you keep running multiple apps in the background that they didn't even release a 'close all' button -- but now, keep playing with this closing and opening game. And yes, my Fiverr app is fully updated, so please do not suggest updating the app. Not just me, but many iPhone users are facing this bug. 4. The new level system was launched on February 14 (the day of love) for all sellers, but if you go to your Analytics tab, you will see this message. Don't tell me that a billion-dollar company has a shortage of website developers that they do not even have time for 20 seconds to delete a few lines of code and remove this message from here. Bruh, if your website developers do not have time, then why don't you just go ahead and hire a $5 gig from your own platform so that someone else can remove it. It's been almost two months! Please do something and don't ruin the 'User experience'! 🙂🙂 5. No profile picture in order history for specific clients: I get it that it's not a big deal, but this bug has been there for the past ~3 years (since I joined the platform). Ever heard of 'User Experience'? And not to mention how hard it is to navigate/search the orders from the history. Can't you just give a 'notes' headline instead of just showing the repetitive gig name? That gig name means nothing to me and does not help in finding any order from the history. 6. Deliveries auto-changing the messages: No matter what you write in the delivery message box, after entering it, it will just change to a completely random text. I think this was fixed yesterday, but still, I would LOVE to count it in my list. Imagine how many sellers & buyers suffered from the headache and confusion due to this. Read more about this bug here: 7. Just now, someone posted that a buyer managed to bypass the 'Request to Order'. I hope that Fiverr is not launching a new tier: "Seller Plus: Double Premium," which ensures that you won't face bugs in RTO. Read about this here: 8. Lots and lots of bugs in custom offers that we faced last to last week. Custom offers were auto-expiring, there was no option of gig extras, and so on. Can't even mention all those countless bugs with custom offers. 9. The 'Online' and 'Last Seen' feature is completely bugged in the inbox. This bug has been there for the past 2-3 years at least (or maybe more), and imagine the awesome feeling of texting with the client and still, it shows you that the client was last seen 3 hours ago, lmao! 10. And countless more bugs (that are currently fixed but sometimes occur) --- such as wrong order queue number, notifications not working, and so on.
  14. I do wish search results would stop showing Quora. 1) 99% of the time, if you click through, the website doesn't take you to the page you thought you were going to and you look at a slightly related question instead. Usually written by AI. 2) You don't click through, because you can clearly see from the snippet that some lardbrain asked ChatGPT to answer the question for them. All the interesting people left Quora for Medium (which is also now infested with AI and affiliate spam - a problem likely to get worse since Medium at least ranks on Google, unlike most people's AI blogs). In conclusion, the internet is infested with people who shouldn't be "writing" English articles, much less offering "expert" advice. Google's attempt to wipe out AI spam doesn't seem to be very successful either - all I see now is endless forums with "expert" comments written by AI. But since Google thinks its "UGC", that's.... fine? AI abuse is a big problem on the internet, and its everywhere. There's a niche AI tool out there that will use AI to find Quora questions in your expertise and then spam the heck out of it with rehashed garbage top-notch content. Incidentally, a few years back, Quora changed from paying writers to paying "question askers" in a bizarre move that saw a lot of inflammatory/super dumb/etc. questions from people who realized that this was the best way to get paid. Quora's feeble rationale was that since questions created answers, the more answers a question got the more the questioner should be rewarded. Or, in deluded corp-speak, "rewarding the creation engaging, high quality content". Meanwhile, the actual subject matter experts who were on Quora because they liked being on Quora anyway upped and left, outraged that a) they were no longer making what they used to b) 💩posting was being rewarded, and Quora was la-la-la-ing to itself at all of these problems. I think, anyway, I stopped bothering with Q long before the AI invasion - all the interesting people had left. We are awash in a sea of AI junk, and Fiverr is just adding to the pollution.
  15. Report and block. It's not a setting, but by reporting it, Fiverr can better identify these types of scams and prevent them from reaching Sellers in the first place. dealing with spam and scams is a part of being in business, and as a freelancer it's a part of your job to identify and deal with them. (Also, please read the rules. Both the Fiverr ToS and the forum rules.)
  16. What exactly do you want to show with this post? Taken photos from the internet or AI generation? It looks like unattractive spam.
  17. Sorry I just saw milos reply. I dont have other accounts and never created other accounts. Not for me, friends or anyone. Why would I do that? How does this help me? For example on upwork you get free connects with a new account. Thats is smth that scammers get advantage of. But on fiverr? Why?
  18. Ok so I got my first Neo brief today! There are a few things I was not happy with when I saw this thing. 1 looking at it you can see that you are forced to take it or your metrics start dropping. Right now I am ok with this. 2nd I feel sorry for anyone that is anywhere below a 4. It is forcing us to take these things, if they are good money or not. Today when I got mine I looked at it and saw that there was no way I could take it, I wouldn't have taken it if it was a regular one. It was not the price I would normally charge for a ARC read. If we have too many things going on at home, or heaven forbid, I have had a seizure and can't answer a message in a good time frame these things are going to tank my metrics bad. Right now I am getting ready to go back to college, have 3 art samples to put in, a few other projects that I am behind in That I need to get done, and a few other things too. I couldn't take it in good conscious and doo a good job either. I don't like this one bit. I get more work from here than UpWork but dang this is ridiculous. I am sure that more of you feel the same way.

  20. A few minutes ago I received a Message. Do you have any idea about this message? "𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨! 𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞. 21. Hi too. It's a scam. Reply to the message with the "Hi" and then report it (spam)/block. If anyone asks for your personal contact details + telegram + QR etc., report them immediately as sharing personal details on Fiverr is strictly prohibited else you will get a warning (account suspension).
  22. Then just accept it and ask the customer support to fulfill your Cancellation rate and other metrics. That's the "best" and "only" thing you can do. Since you are not a leveled seller, I am assuming that you do not have access to Seller Plus and Request to Order feature that can save you from these troubles. But for now, even the most that Customer Support can do is cancel the existing order and fulfill your score. You (or customer support) can not know which future client is the same spam client or a new genuine client, so no steps can be taken for "future orders" to avoid this spam.
  23. Have you ever received a message that tingled your spidey senses on Fiverr? As a seller, it can be tough to know whether a buyer is legit. Given the amount of spam and phishing attempts in our inboxes these days, I thought it wise to make a little list of things to watch out for. Many new sellers fall into the trap of responding to these messages because they're desperate for work and want to get started. 1. Request relevance: Does the request line up with your gigs or is it oddly generic, like asking for logo design, data entry, and copywriting all at once? If it sounds like a "one size fits all" message, chances are, it's spam. 2. Promises, promises: Beware of messages promising huge payouts or an overwhelming amount of work. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. 3. Off-site contact: Alarm bells should ring if a buyer is asking to take things off Fiverr, pay after completion, or even worse, asking for bank details or to connect via Telegram, WhatsApp, etc. Not only is it likely a scam, but it also violates Fiverr's terms of service. 4. Check the profile: Does the username make sense? Is it in line with what you'd expect from that country? Do they have any reviews from other sellers? If not, it's a red flag! If they have a profile picture, does it seem real? 5. Time zones and location: Check their claimed location against their time zone. You can see the time at the top of your inbox. A buyer showing a completely different timezone than what you'd expect from their country could be a red flag. 6. Fishing for a response: If you get messages that start with just "hey" or "hy" without any other context, it's often a ploy to get you to respond, making you more likely to engage with their subsequent messages. I'll close off with some advice on how to stay safe and avoid getting scammed: Don't open or download attachments and files from people you don't trust. Never give away your personal information, like e-mail, full name, address, passwords, etc. Don't click links from people you don't trust. Notice any urgent or threatening language? Scammers often try to give you a sense of urgency, to make you not think carefully before doing anything. Check for spelling and poor grammar. If someone claims to be from a legitimate company, they'll usually be a professional if they're legit. A message full of typos can indicate you're being spammed or phished. Keep your device updated. If you download malware by accident, this helps to stop it! Finally, use your common sense (or spidey sense if you have one) If something doesn't feel right, be very careful.
  24. Same here, I also run a discord server, and find these guys every day. They usually don't scam but they have a tendency to cancel easily and has a following pattern of chatting. 1. They want long time relationships (or so they says, probably don't they just want a cheap work done) 2. They have absurdly low prices (acts like they did not do market research) 3. "Show me update", "Get to work", Ï need to confirm from higher ups before placing order, so update me please" .......... these are the catch phrases I encountered the most so far. 4. Different accounts every time. 5. Likes to brag about account levels. 6. My opinion probably a ground of Nigerian kids, running a call center or ad farm of sorts getting orders from various sources and trying to do business on fiverr and upwork.
  25. I’m new to fiverr and just got my first message, are these types of messages worth engaging in of are they just spam?
