  1. Sellers need to have the ability to block abusive buyers. Blocking an abusive buyer was our only form of protection and painless way to avoid unwanted experiences. Please reconsider your decision to remove this essential option.
  2. FIVERR just did NOT make my day two days ago. I posted my first "request" as re posted on Fiverr FB page with the same picture and the entire text of my "request" It was refused due to "braking community rules" with warning about (child related offences etc) and warnings my contacts may be passed on to authorities worldwide etc I was left speechless and VERY shocked. All I asked in my title was ti "Migrate a 2GB SketchUp19 file to Unreal Engine 5.2 (or+) And wanted to make sure the selling is willing to work with LGBTQ project . The warning was UTMOST disturbing especially I am a (proven in court and a case I won) as church child and teenager abuse survivor!) I have NOT received on word of reply from Fiverr not on FB page and customer service won't take a gmail address for communication even my company e-mail for the many past years was good enough for the rest of the world. Before this happened I contacted a seller in who's specialities seemed to stand out. After several exchanges mostly about money where I said I had a 500$ budget and that it was flexible she addressed me as "brother". I replied politely to tell here NOT to call me "brother" as I probably am rather the age of father. As the conversation went on she wanted me to go on Telgram which I did not like then she simply asked me to double my budget and as I wanted her to at least answer my questions like " Do you know SketchUP" etc she did not reply as simply told me that I am wasting her time and now her hourly fees have gone from 72 to 100$. So much for trying to further the day of someone who is located in Ukraine. I wonder what's next in for me on Fiverr? I just tried to re-post my request with a changed text leaving our my request for someone open minded to work with an LGTBQ gender neutral project. So this is my amended text: Hello thanks for your consideration. As a tiny group of friends, we came together believing creating a game that does NOT include shooting, killing, running and jumping. We want something that goes SLOW, enticing, beautiful and relaxing. Like a mini Las Vegas entertainment park without gambling. I am 3D builder, others give gamer’s perception, etc. We try to keep expenses to a minimum. I worked on this for over two years. We want someone who can go on working with us as we progress. A fantasy space built like a proper building, for avatars to meet and share time, spaces and do things together with like-minded folks. The model built in SketchUP19 needs to migrate to UE 5.2 or higher into the gaming UE gaming platform. The model comprises many groups to form one a square block of 18 floors of many sizes and many features under one roof. Much of it is airy, garden, pool, elevated walkways etc. I can’t work with someone who needs a later SKU version as I can not open it, I refuse to go on the newer version for many reasons. The file size it near 2GB As an autodidact artist and designs as I go in SKU, not in conventional ways. I could not plan floor per floor, etc. I built my building like someone paints a painting as I go. I am sure there are many minor mistakes in the SketchUp model. I don’t have all the extensions likely to find them. I have over 1000 renders made in Lumion10 and had no major display issues to date. Lots of glass leads to multiple transparencies for gamers to see and look from one area to another. It’s all about seeing and then joining the other avatar. There are several water bodies, lake and aquarium, pool, jacuzzi. One of the multiple space connector is a spiral staircase, repeated with slight amendments to each setting. There are other grand staircases to walk between spaces. Later some items like doors, elevator that may need animation. At a later stage we’d like it not only to be PC but also viewable in VR. I have test walked parts of it of it myself, in my VIVE helmet and it looked and felt very real. But at this time I am learning UE 5.2 and am not advanced to migrate the entire project. I know I have been told to move it by groups to facilitate the move. Most my decorative materials are custom designed by myself like carpets, art on the walls etc. I understand I may have to reapply the materials again in UE. To start I need to see at least one part moved to UE so I can appreciate your level of expertise. Thank you. You can make up your own mind of what "braking community rules" Will Fever again decide that the mention of a project being LGBTQ and Gender neutral isn't an acceptable way to present a project. Just let me know. I am very enticed to take this to the madia and maybe a court of law. Will an AI reader reject it again for totally insane and unrelated reasons? I will not spend anymore time trying to contacting Fiverr support as they can read my situation here and on their FB and get back to me.
  3. Hello, my name is Kaue, I'm an image retoucher, I've only been on Fiverr for a short time, but I've been putting together a portfolio for a long time and thinking about how I'm going to set up my gigs until then that I decided to do it and go deep into getting jobs here. I don't know, I have the impression that it was good here at one time or only those with a good reputation get good buyers, have any of you noticed this? Even so, I decided to continue I received my first message, wow!!! a boom of joy, until I read the message and it was something like - wow, your gig is everything we need, we were looking for someone like you, please contact me on this - social network - "Mr. Spam" A bucket of cold water, ok, I reported it and block In the middle of the night I woke up Mr. Spam 2 now, I reported it and block, and so I believe that up to the 12th user, sometimes they changed the way they wrote, giving space in the name "s o c i a l M e d i a" sometimes they sent a photo with the name of the network profile written in the worst handwriting, and so it was. Today I received a new one from a user @ anything that I tapped on the keyboard, with the Fiverr profile logo, saying that my account was suspended and that I would have to send him my email to do a simple verification. Hahahaha.. on the one hand it's funny, but on the other hand the real reason for being here is completely obsolete, partly because of spam and partly because Fiverr doesn't have many criteria for those who create a new group and become co-participants in this spam. I believe I should stay a little longer, maybe I'll see the part of the work that I really want. Thank you and good work everyone!
  4. That's DNS, not VPN. And yes, you can use any DNS you prefer. As for a VPN, that might lead to issues like the system flagging you for "Location inconsistencies." You're not allowed to use tools that might mislead buyers about your location. According to support, using a VPN isn't strictly banned, but it's discouraged because it can cause problems like that. Personally, I avoid using a VPN because it's not more secure (almost all traffic over the Internet today is encrypted, even without a VPN) and it doesn't make you anonymous like so many people seem to think. Those are just myths spread by VPN companies to get you to spend money on something you probably don't need. The only real use for a VPN, aside from tunneling into networks for work (some servers require you to tunnel into the network at your workplace to access the system), is to change your location to access content you're not supposed to or to hide your real IP if you're doing something nefarious online. And that’s exactly what Fiverr doesn’t want you to do. Sure, there are some outlier cases here, like streamers having to mask their IP to avoid getting swatted and so on, but in most cases, all a VPN does is tunnel your traffic through them, adding another layer of encryption that's not needed in most cases. VPN providers will tell you that they stop people from snooping your data, but that's exactly what HTTPS does by default. And yes, it does so even on public wifi. As long as your connection is via HTTPS and not just HTTP, your info is encrypted. As for VPNs stopping your ISP from "selling your data", there are laws against that in most countries and even when you're in a country where that's not the case, it doesn't stop your VPN provider from selling your data instead. Remember, using a VPN might make you share an IP with thousands of others, which could even lead Fiverr to suspect you have multiple accounts, potentially resulting in a ban. So I'd avoid them if you can. Changing your DNS doesn't alter your IP. It just changes the server your computer contacts for directions on the Internet. It could help avoid DNS blocks (some ISPs block certain services via their DNS due to government requirements, and one example of this would be a certain pirate website in Scandinavia being blocked via DNS). Some DNS providers even help you avoid dangerous websites, but that's usually something your ISP does just as well if they're any good. Some DNS servers, like 1.1.1.1, may offer faster service for some users. So, there are benefits to not using your ISP’s DNS. A VPN, not so much, unless you want to mask your IP. The question is: why would you do that?
  5. It's a known scam, they steal your money from the bank. Report the message and block the user.
  6. and my account isn't restricted to block i am still working with exiting buyers and cs told me i can work with them. but please i want my issue to be resolved.
  7. You've done some great work here, but this is something that happens a lot these days, after some recent changes in Fiverr rules/moderation. You created more than one account from the same device/ip/similar email/profile picture and you are now restricted to block. This decision is usually final and you have time to finish ongoing orders and withdraw money.
  8. As I'm sure some of you have noticed, buyers seem to be fewer than they once were (yes, I am aware that there are plenty of sellers who have plenty of orders). Now, according to Fiverr's own investor reports, they lost over 200,000 active buyers between '22 - '23. I'm linking to the G&M because it helpfully has an analysis of why that's bad. We can point to the bogeyman of AI, increased cost of living, all that stuff. Or we could look at what buyers are actually telling us. This buyer signed up this month (er.. March). I declined his job 3 weeks ago because I don't offer proofreading. I didn't think anything of it. Pretty standard stuff. Most people say something like "oh ok thanks" and go off to find someone who offers the right service. However, they keep coming back complaining. Today, I got this: I'm not sure what the first sentence is referring to, and the rest just makes me want to hit the block button and - annoyingly - continue with my SPP membership just to keep RTO on to avoid an order that I declined 3 weeks ago. But that doesn't make this guy a bad buyer. He's new to Fiverr and doesn't understand how it works. He also doesn't understand the undercurrent of Fiverr's new review system. I don't know what he's been saying to the other sellers, but if it's anything like what he said to me, I don't want him anywhere near my feedback. This buyer - IDK if you'd call him "active" in financial terms - is probably going to leave the platform after 7 sellers have basically declined to work with him. Are Fiverr's own review systems harming its bottom line by causing sellers to reject customers who could damage their profile? Is this causing otherwise "good" new buyers to leave? Add this to things like: 1. Deceptive AI policies and a ton of sellers using AI to sell AI without disclosure 2. A large marketplace of Pros that is not vetted as well as it used to be 2a) Leading to gigs worth $5 - $25 being sold for $100s 3) "New Buyers" being weighted more heavily in algorithms (bad reviews and good) 4) Eerily similar responses (GPT) from a large number of sellers using AI to communicate (as recommended by Fiverr) Fiverr's claims the the decreased number of buyers is a result of its marketing strategy, which is now targeting more upmarket people. That makes sense to me. But is Fiverr - or rather it's sellers - able to provide these upmarket visitors with the service they want? Or, are they getting annoyed after endless rejections from sellers who don't want to take on new buyers for a combination of reasons? Let's say this guy gives up and just orders from a random person without asking (they will only reject me anyway) who does the work with AI for $200 and discovers it's AI after the fact. You think they're gonna come back? Don't forget, some buyers are finding their profile disabled after they message a few sellers about their offer. They're invited to do this by Fiverr, but Fiverr's automation systems register this as spam and, well, it happens. Meanwhile, the QR code gang know this little restriction and just dance around it effortlessly. Let's also not forget that all accounts now start as buyer accounts and seller accounts need to be approved. I've seen far too many CS messages effectively saying "don't worry, you can still buy!" to people who have no interest in buying. They are upset and angry because they spent 3 hours filling out their profile and get dismissed with a curt message that tells them nothing about why they've been explained, and CS doesn't explain either. It was 200,000 buyers lost last year. This year, with the new review system in place and sellers increasingly anxious about their confusing scores, I think it could be worse. Fiverr's own policies are creating an atmosphere of fear and mistrust, rather than facilitating an open marketplace where people get on with work.
  9. It seems that just recently you were doing someone's tasks/essay. You offered communication through whatsapp. I think that this will lead to block and their decision is final.
  10. I had a bad experience with a buyer, she accepted my cancellation, but I fear she might order my gig again in the future and I don't want that. In the past, I would click on the name and just block them. This time it's not working. Anyone else knows what's going on? Can you click on a customer's name, and see if you get the blocking option? I hope this is a temporary glitch.
  11. Your account is restricted to block. It will lead to block/ban (permanent), it is just that you have 90 day period (77 days remaining in your case) to finish ongoing orders and withdraw money. There are minor penalties, like warnings. In your case, with clone accounts, it usually leads either to block or to de-ranking to a new seller, not participating in levels anymore and barely being seen in search results. Unfortunatelly your penalty is block after 90 day period, as mentioned above. The customer support probably won't answer to your multiple messages.
  12. If you don't have an active order, you can block people on Fiverr via the app (but for some reason not via the website!)
  13. Hi @nisedits, communicating outside Fiverr is a violation of our Terms of Service. Please make sure to read them and get familiar with what's allowed, since violations can only lead to a restricted/blocked account. Please report the user so that out team can take over and block them. Thanks and good luck 🍀
  14. Today i wrote my goodbye message to the platform after 10 years working here so i think i am part of those sellers leaving as you mentioned in your post, honestly i do not know every seller's reason but for me, it was a bittersweet trip...I remember several of the changes that were made to the platform and the disagreements of the users, whether they were sellers or buyers when i started on the platform it was because i previously worked for a company where i no longer felt happy, I remember like it was yesterday how i was sitting on the stairs of my office crying, I reached a point where it was an intolerable situation. I was very happy having my freelance job, however, changes began and my happiness went down the drain. - No more cancellations: Why couldn't I cancel an order where I didn't feel comfortable, when the platform itself told us that not all work relationships could continue when a user was rude, or demanded more from me than I offered? Even though it is always a situation where we work and lost, sometimes it is better - No more visible ratings Having to rate someone with a 5 even if they were an undesirable person for fear of revenge - The seller can rate me even if it is refunded: Really? rating a job that wasn't even done or the money was returned seemed like a bad joke. (I remember discovering this new feature lying on a hospital bed about being in surgery and having to cancel, contacting customer support, and explaining the situation, the funny thing is that my surgery was a result of working for long periods) However, we overcame this and other changes. I even read a campaign that some will remember where it was mentioned that we sellers drank coffee and didn't sleep to work here...this was very inhuman, I think it even appeared in the news and they withdrew the campaign, i don't know who thought it would be a good idea... well, the truth is that i think the fiverr team suddenly meets to discuss ideas on how to ruin the platform more and more. From my side, i did everything i could and i was as professional as i could and tried to resist. I could tell endless stories i lived here, good and bad, but it reminded me of that day when i was sitting crying on the stairs at my previous job, and in the end, i no longer feel valued as before. - I am evaluated by an AI robot - Technical support just copy and paste pre-made answers - I have to trust hidden evaluations and a non-trusty environment - I do not receive clear messages about where i can improve, and even if i could, a single rate can ruin my reputation - I am no longer my boss, I am no longer a freelancer - Now this killer-level system just screws all those 10 years of hard-working, i barely receive impressions or clicks. All these years i believed the story that i had a rating of 5 and it was all a lie from one day to the next. Now to survive i have to pay my promoted gigs, a seller plus, and my taxes. and when i work on my numbers i have to work for 20% of what i sell and still place my happy face, It's not worth it to me anymore. Maybe the platform is now broken and they are doing their best to keep the boat afloat and i cannot blame them, who knows? Once i was on a platform that was no longer online and where bankrupt. Maybe they are getting rid of old sellers like me as i keep track of my competition and they are suffering the same. Still have my doubts because i see sellers having 600 orders on a 2-day delivery deadline, i guess nobody can deliver good quality work making 12 orders in 1 hour assuming they do not take any sleep. Maybe quantity is more important than quality for them. But still, i receive messages from the system like "you can improve the professionalism of work" on orders where i over-delivered, made more revisions than the original offer, was polite, responded on time, and still have no clue on what to improve. It is just a system where I have a fear of working every time i get an order, Maybe that is the reason other sellers block potential buyers, personally, i did this in the past instead of risking my job. I was very happy working here at some point and i have a lot more to do somewhere else, i want to make a lot of new happy customers. I still remember that day i was reached by fiverr to be in a contest where i won a prize when i was relevant to them. Working with fear is no longer an option for me, I even have my concerns writing this on the forum but i am done and i need to make decisions, maybe the platform wants sellers who can withstand everything without saying a single word, I'm not too quiet for them.
  15. To avoid Account Restriction don't share any personal details like Bank account, email etc because all of them are scammers and mostly they are targeting new seller. Fiverr has its payment system so asked them to pay through Fiverr. And if you don't want to get any message, report them as a spammer, or later Fiverr will automatically detect and block them. Sharing email addresses can lead to a ban or restriction of your account.
  16. Block and report the person sending the message. Its not great, but its the best way for Fiverr to keep on top of scammers.
  17. 18. Hi, The official help says it's in the user profile, but I spent an hour there is no block option anywhere. Can someone please help? Thanks in advance.
  19. Hey I just noticed I can't find the option to block a buyer anymore, can't we do that anymore? For example, someone placed an order, provided no info and when I asked for information, he canceled the order saying he already took care of it => my stats get affected => I don't want this buyer to be able to order from me again because I had a "previous negative experience"... I don't see this option anymore. thx!
  20. Report and block. It's not a setting, but by reporting it, Fiverr can better identify these types of scams and prevent them from reaching Sellers in the first place. dealing with spam and scams is a part of being in business, and as a freelancer it's a part of your job to identify and deal with them. (Also, please read the rules. Both the Fiverr ToS and the forum rules.)
  21. Hi too. It's a scam. Reply to the message with the "Hi" and then report it (spam)/block. If anyone asks for your personal contact details + telegram + QR etc., report them immediately as sharing personal details on Fiverr is strictly prohibited else you will get a warning (account suspension).
  22. I always report them and block them, but for each one I block, there are 20 new ones coming each day. Could Fiverr just add some better verifying of accounts to limit the amount of scam bot accounts?
  23. I'm kinda conflicted on this case. after discussing the scope of the project I correct and reduce the price of my offer. She didn't accept the offer and rightly after, she ask me for update. Told her I won't start the project until the offer is accepted, the scope of the project is way too small to worth a ''sample''(it just a single sprite in iso perpective) and gently told her I won't do the job until I'm garanteed to be paid. Then she start to pester me. After telling her I won't work for free she tell me that 3 seller already did it wrong; first red flag 3 day later she come back and ask if I can do it for 10$, if she continue to pester should I block her? Hence she doesn't seem to understand that I simply don't work for free and she show too many red flag
  24. One last one for today. I swear. It's amazing that no one in your ranks has pointed out how utterly futile this minutia is. The whole point of the client both giving AND receiving a review is basically a handshake between client and seller, a meme. The client wants to keep the seller happy to return later for more work. The seller basically praises the buyer with the mandatory 5 star review by default as to keep the client happy and not anger the private review demons. (Private reviews with no recourse are a breach of trust) All this useless machining of the system is doing nothing more than causing friction between potential clients and sellers. Just more sand in the gears. What motivation would any seller have for working with a client that is dinging them left and right?! Sellers are going to cancel and block their way to a stream of clients that works for them. One that gets THEM the best results. Buyers will complain they are getting blocked by way too many people. It's human nature, you have absolutely no control over this. People tend to avoid pain. Eventually, all buyers will reflexively give the best review to keep the peace, as they do now. You need more floodlight thinking and less flashlight thinking.
  25. Unfortunatly services like Fiverr are engaged in a constant war of attrition with scammers and when we, the innocenet users get blocked or banned we are the collatoral damage that happens in this fight. Big companies do not provide reasoning for blocking because it allows potential scammers an opportunity to find ways around their protection algorithms. Imagine if they said "we ban people from this IP address block automatically due to historically large amounts of spam coming from here" then spammers would stop using that IP block and move on to another. Same with email providers, countries of origin etc.
