  1. Due to the nature of my service (web development) I'm forced to request for personal information from my clients such as WordPress username and password which maybe inform of an email. Sometimes I request for phone numbers when integrating Whatsapp chatboxes. As a result, I suspect Fiverr quality control flagged my account for Terms and Conditions violation. What do I do to prevent further flags in future?
  2. Hi @abdul_react_dev, I understand how disappointing this must be for you. Sadly, here on the Forum, we can't provide answers to all Fiverr account-specific questions, but we can point you in the right direction. These account flags are only to be addressed by our Customer Support team, or if applicable, your Customer Success Manager. The team will get back to you as soon as possible. Let me just mention that the reason for this is explained in the email notification you got about this. Thanks for your patience and good luck 🍀
  3. Makes sense. My policy is not to work with buyers who want me to prove I'm AI. It's not in the little book of red flags just yet (it's one of those subtle red flags that needs a few others to confirm it), but I think it will be soon enough. I do understand buyer concern about this, but I also recognize the potential for abuse. Too dangerous to work with - especially when, as you note, you're not getting a lot of orders on a gig.
  4. UPDATED LINK Here is my new ebook, the unexcitingly but vaguely SEO-optimized Fluff-Free Guide for New Fiverr Buyers. Hey, it's a forum, it'll be on page 1 of Google tomorrow and spot 1 probably next week. I just need to spam the keyword a bit, like so: it's a fluff-free guide for new buyers on Fiverr! I could say this book will change your life, but you're not a new buyer on Fiverr. You're a tired and embattled seller who wishes someone would cut you a break for once in your miserable freelancing life. Or you're just looking for freebies and a healthy and emotionally-stable person. Sometimes, anyway. But telling you that this ebook will change your life would be a lie, and unlike certain multi-million dollar corporations who shall not be named to save their beetroot-red blushing, I don't tell little fibs to my userbase. I tell bigger fibs. But that's another story. What I will say is that this ebook is going to help you with any buyers you get who are new to Fiverr. And I mean "fresh off the boat" new. The kind that Fiverr algorithm loves. You make them happy, Fiverr algorithm loves you. If you're really good, your success score might improve. And you can have all of this for free. Am I mad? Have I gone insane? Why am I offering this? I'm sure you'll figure it out. Back to the new Fiverr buyers who will squeal with delight when you toss this mediocrely-designed but free ebook that does at least make good use of white space their way. They'll understand how the revision button works, for starters. And yes, of course I discuss the new review system. I even note that it's in a state of flux, just to hedge my bets on the random tests going on at the moment. There's other stuff too, but those are just two seller-friendly tips I snuck into an ebook that is very much directed at improving a buyer's lot. Because unlike ChatGPT - which had no part in writing this - I know how to write things that way. There's no fast-paced anythings, and you can forget top-notch writing. Typos? Yeah, probably. Proofreading is very boring. This book will save you a lot of time explaining all those annoying and obvious things. Just give them the book instead. The only thing I can't give you is a buyer who reads. You're on your own for that one. That about wraps it up really. Take a look, let me know what you think. Oh, yes, and here's the CS approval if anyone's wondering about that. But you should check in with them yourself if you're not feeling 100% about it. CS generally works a lot better before the issue than after the issue... I will update this post whenever I update the ebook, so bookmark it if you want to use this as a resource with your buyers. I am also open to suggestions for improvement, inc. the typos and broken links that bedevil me wherever I go. For those of you who have stumbled across this and have no idea who I am (tsk), I've been on Fiverr for over a decade. I was very successful and now I'm not anymore, so I made this ebook with the acres of free time I have as a busy Pro-Verified TRS Seller in the Enterprise, Pro, and Certified catalogs making... well, nowhere near as much as you think I might, I can tell you that much. In my spare time - of which I clearly have a lot - I enjoy vigorously criticising the platform's latest bad decision and praising the Lord for his bountiful domain, as mysterious as His bounties may be. fluff-free-guide-for-new-fiverr-buyers.pdf If the ebook doesn't work, here is a WeTransfer link (expired - use link at top of post) that will expire on April 10 because idk, I literally just signed up since it's the only PDF sharing thing I can see on the approved website list.
  5. I'm kinda conflicted on this case. after discussing the scope of the project I correct and reduce the price of my offer. She didn't accept the offer and rightly after, she ask me for update. Told her I won't start the project until the offer is accepted, the scope of the project is way too small to worth a ''sample''(it just a single sprite in iso perpective) and gently told her I won't do the job until I'm garanteed to be paid. Then she start to pester me. After telling her I won't work for free she tell me that 3 seller already did it wrong; first red flag 3 day later she come back and ask if I can do it for 10$, if she continue to pester should I block her? Hence she doesn't seem to understand that I simply don't work for free and she show too many red flag
  6. A week of anger, a month of anger, a year of anger. It's not going to change anything. Unless all the good sellers pack up and leave, nothing's going to change. I've often said I'd prefer to live in a dictatorship knowing it's a dictatorship, rather than in one pretending to be democratic. At least then you know what you're dealing with. Same thing here. If I'm spending all my time raging about things to someone not listening, I'm getting nowhere. And to be honest, we were a pretty small group of sellers raging on here. 99% of us just got on with it, some left and that's that. I hear you sighing, but I'm not about to rally for a union over this, even though I genuinely think Fiverr is going in the wrong direction. The numbers do the talking, and I'll let the red ticker show that to leadership. It's less work. Meanwhile I'll sell as many articles and voiceovers as possible, having a laugh at Fiverrs expense from time to time. But I won't sit here and be angry. I've got enough anger on my plate with my toddler who refuses to pee, get dressed, eat his banana, drink his water, brush his teeth, or walk like a normal human being to the bus stop because he's discovered the joy of being towed by a cranky, sleep-deprived dad, juggling a child seat, backpack and his bad mood because he had to start working when he had his morning coffee because the authorities decided to issue a wind and heat wave warning at 6 a.m. You just have to imagine the muted *thump* of my head hitting a wall in another room.

  8. Hello @adilumarsids I understand that this may be disappointing to you, but believe me, as much as I would like to help, there is nothing I can do. Your account was re-reviewed and unfortunately, the violation of our Guidelines still exists. I am so sorry I cannot be of much help. If you are not satisfied with the explanation provided by our Customer Support, please reach out to your Success Manager. Thank you.
  9. Doesn't matter if it's spam or a genuine buyer, just avoid contacting outside the platform for two reasons: 1. It's completely against the Terms of Service. 2. If you're chatting outside the platform, no matter if you have completed the work, the buyer can ask for a cancellation and refund by claiming that you have not worked as per their instructions. You will not have any proof to show to Customer Support (as chats outside the platform won't be considered in your favor). You will end up losing your order money, work efforts, time, and most probably, your account as well. Instead, either ask your buyer to send the details through a PDF, recorded video --- or have a Zoom meeting. If the buyer still insists on contacting outside the platform, use the block button and move on. They probably just want to mess with you and your account, which is a big red flag.
  10. Which metrics are counting towards that rating? Go into your level overview and click on your success score. In the right panel, scroll down to your list of gigs, and expand them to see which factors the system suggests you work on. Mine are all positive, but if your rating is 4, I'm sure you'll see something in red here:
  11. Grammarly is AI too, you know. I'm not claiming everything is AI-generated, just saying it made my scanner light up red. If you claim you wrote it yourself, I'll believe you (and honestly, I don't care and have no need to point fingers here) but in my experience Grammarly can cause more problems than it solves if you're not already quite fluent. I'm just sharing this to help you understand how potential buyers might interpret it. If a buyer is searching for a copywriter, they're likely to check for this, so it's important to be aware of it to avoid missing out on business. It's simply business advice. Regarding your strategy, I suggest mixing it up a bit. Focus more on the buyer and less on yourself. Show them that you understand their needs, desires, and requirements. Make it about them, not you. When it comes to demonstrating your writing skills, remember that a skilled copywriter can convey a lot in a few words. The description of your business (and the introduction) should be enough to engage the buyer immediately. I'm not suggesting you should include your previous work in your gig description. I'm just saying that if a buyer reads your description and immediately thinks, "This person understands what I need and has convinced me in just a few seconds," you've succeeded. Highlighting benefits is good, but you might want to emphasize the results they'll achieve if they choose you, instead of just the technical details. If you think about it, when you make a purchase, is it because of the technical specifications, or because the product feels right and because you know it will bring you certain benefits? You buy a fridge because it will keep your food cold, not because it has the newest "Super Ultra Deluxe 2000 Electrical Brushless Motor LUX Edition". Or perhaps because it will make it easier to organize your food. Or because that Ultra Deluxe thingy will lower your electricity bill. You want to tell the buyer about those advantages and results, instead of the technical aspects of the product/service. The approach is, of course, up to you. I apologize if I offered unwanted writing advice. It was all about trying to help you improve your descriptions. If I got writing advice from a Pro verified journalist, editor-in-chief and copywriter with years of experience and multiple high-end clients under his belt when I was new at this, I'd gladly take it to heart though. Also, I'm not saying you used GPT, just that my scans indicated it. And if it's detected when I scan, it might be detected when a buyer does too. That's not ideal if you're marketing humanly written content. My intention was not to accuse but to advise. Regarding the accusations about copywriters using AI, it's true, but that's because the platform is now full of "writers" claiming expertise while mass-producing AI-generated content as their own. Fiverr doesn't seem to care or take issue with it. It's not good for the buyers, and certainly not for the genuinely talented writers here. I'm not suggesting you're among them; but that's the backdrop to these widespread accusations. P.S. Great job taking courses and learning how Fiverr works! It's a smart move that more sellers should consider.
  12. My gigs look cheap, but I (probably) have much higher order values than the average seller in my category with custom offers. It probably also helps that I know the TOS like the back of my hand, have an excellent red flag detector, and currently reject 99% of of buyers (mostly because at the moment they all want academic work/are furious at their Fiverr experience/don't like my pricing). It probably also helps that I spent most of 2022/23 actively trying to avoid dying from my wonderful new disease that nobody could diagnose, so was OOO (while still paying $19 a month loyalty pricing to Fiverr to retain their lifetime discount. I admit the source of my anger is probably more niche than most people's). But being OOO means that I don't really have anything but glowing 5-star reviews from what's left of my repeat clients (er... 1 person, maybe 2? Used to be in double figures). The Success Score is junk nonsense as far as I am concerned. It has been 2 months since it was introduced, nobody knows how it works, it doesn't provide any useful insights, and it doesn't reduce the pressure to get 5 stars. If anything, it made it worse. I really can't begin to describe just how disgusted I am with Fiverr at the moment. I'll get over it, but they will never again have my trust or goodwill. They can keep their filthy money. It won't save them on judgment day.
  13. Did anyone experience this? I have a client who only wanted to do minimal tasks on his store. The initial contract instructions were so minimal that I didn't see the red flags from this client. Fast forward, now he keeps on telling me that I am not doing it right. I keep on sending him images of the work I done and yet he doesn't even give feedback. He keeps on saying that's not what I want. So I asked him what he wants and he won't tell me. Then out of nowhere, tasks that were not on the initial agreement came in like I had to do them because they were a part of the product updates. I grew suspicious and somehow feeling so frustrated because I literally send him every picture of what I do and he doesn't even comment if I am doing them right and he offers no constructive feedback. Then he sent me again a message like that's not what I want and never explains it. So I tried to be very professional that I really don't understand why what's wrong with what I'm doing. After three days of work, I sent him and trying to honest of what I am going through telling him that I am really frustrated because you're not telling me some things I need to know. Once I finished all his work, he removed me as his store admin and tried to cancel his order. I was furious and he told me my work is subpar. This person is a freeloader and doesn't deserve to be in this platform. I sent him over 80 images for every detail of work that I done and still no communication from him. Except when I woke up today, saw that he tried to cancel his order because my work is sub par. He never goes beyond that reasoning. I did not cancel because I spent hours on his store trying to make it work and it seems that wasn't his goal. His goal was once I finish his work, removed me as admin and cancel his order so he get the work done for free. This person is a freeloader and doesn't deserve respect from Fiverr community. Don't fall for his person.
  14. Hi All, I usually do not post on the Forum, but I am a Fiverr Top Seller and I have been using Fiverr for over 4 years. All of the sudden, I am not able to message clients and all my gigs have a red exclamation mark next to it. I did not receive any notifications from Fiverr about this, also I am pretty sure I have never breached the T&C. Can anyone explain? Much appreciated. Thanks! Ben
  15. It sounds like your Fiverr account might have been flagged for some reason, leading to restrictions on messaging clients and the red exclamation marks on your gigs. While you haven't received any notifications about this, it's possible that there may have been a violation of Fiverr's terms and conditions or a misunderstanding.
  16. It was absolutely magnificent. I laughed in a shaking slightly uncrontrolled manner – some might even call it borderline maniacal – to the point of tipping over my nightly Red Bull Zero. I've now finished your book, and I like it. And no GPT in sight. We should get it translated into multiple languages.

  18. Hello, I want to withdraw my earnings for the first time. I have tried adding a PayPal account and bank account, I receive and enter the sms verification code and then when I click on the link in the email I get my profile page with a red bar across the top saying "the action failed to authenticate. Please try again. If the problem persists, contact support here" I have tried it on multiple browsers on multiple devices, cleared cache etc. and still get the same error message. I am writing with fiverr customer support who has not been helpfull. Any ideas of what I can do? Thanks.
  19. I don't think the price itself is unreasonable; it's the way they're doing this that bothers me. I signed up at $29, so I'm facing a $10 increase per month, which is pocket change. But like Levi, I haven't received the email about the increase yet. What I dislike is how they've made the service worse, with a team of SMs churcning out AI-generated nonsense that I can get faster and cheaper from GPT. I've seen a couple of e-mails that other sellers have shared, and when I ran it through AI detectors it flashed red at 98% AI generated. Go figure. I also dislike that they're not honoring the original price for the first 200 who got it at $19, or for those like me who got it at $29 (?). It's about not pissing on your best people. I believe there are parts of SP that is worth more than the new price, to some. But the shift from quality to quantity makes it come across as c**p. It's only about how long the landing page list of features is. I'm not planning to cancel my subscription just yet, and honestly, I don't think doing so would make much of a difference, for the same reason that I could increase the subscription fee of the newspaper I own by 15% overnight, and only lose 20 subscribers while increasing revenue. Because most people don't cancel. So, even if 50 or 100 sellers opt out, they'll likely recoup those numbers quickly. They have around 25k Seller Plus members, if I remember correctly.. I actually agree with you. I'd love to see it as a general paywall. Personally, I'm also happy with my SM (not that I need her much but she's always there and she talks to me like a human). If the increase makes it easier for the SMs to help those who do want to pay properly, I'm all for it. But I don't think they will. More likely, they will fire most of them and just tell us to not use our SMs instead, you know, like they did last week. Exactly. Sorry I'm adding to the jinx pot. And this is exactly why it's behind a paywall. Someone else might feel that way about another feature. But I don't like this one simply because RTO is the only way for sellers to protect themselves against a problem Fiverr created in the first place. Carnivore diet here!

  21. Been a member since 2018, never seen this issue before. When I went to withdraw my available balance today, my typical withdrawal button was grayed out and I can't click it. Have not been any changes to my bank account and I don't have any flags on my Fiverr account. I submitted a ticket request for assistance, but wanted to see if anyone had any insight. TIA i
  22. Have you ever received a message that tingled your spidey senses on Fiverr? As a seller, it can be tough to know whether a buyer is legit. Given the amount of spam and phishing attempts in our inboxes these days, I thought it wise to make a little list of things to watch out for. Many new sellers fall into the trap of responding to these messages because they're desperate for work and want to get started. 1. Request relevance: Does the request line up with your gigs or is it oddly generic, like asking for logo design, data entry, and copywriting all at once? If it sounds like a "one size fits all" message, chances are, it's spam. 2. Promises, promises: Beware of messages promising huge payouts or an overwhelming amount of work. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. 3. Off-site contact: Alarm bells should ring if a buyer is asking to take things off Fiverr, pay after completion, or even worse, asking for bank details or to connect via Telegram, WhatsApp, etc. Not only is it likely a scam, but it also violates Fiverr's terms of service. 4. Check the profile: Does the username make sense? Is it in line with what you'd expect from that country? Do they have any reviews from other sellers? If not, it's a red flag! If they have a profile picture, does it seem real? 5. Time zones and location: Check their claimed location against their time zone. You can see the time at the top of your inbox. A buyer showing a completely different timezone than what you'd expect from their country could be a red flag. 6. Fishing for a response: If you get messages that start with just "hey" or "hy" without any other context, it's often a ploy to get you to respond, making you more likely to engage with their subsequent messages. I'll close off with some advice on how to stay safe and avoid getting scammed: Don't open or download attachments and files from people you don't trust. Never give away your personal information, like e-mail, full name, address, passwords, etc. Don't click links from people you don't trust. Notice any urgent or threatening language? Scammers often try to give you a sense of urgency, to make you not think carefully before doing anything. Check for spelling and poor grammar. If someone claims to be from a legitimate company, they'll usually be a professional if they're legit. A message full of typos can indicate you're being spammed or phished. Keep your device updated. If you download malware by accident, this helps to stop it! Finally, use your common sense (or spidey sense if you have one) If something doesn't feel right, be very careful.
  23. Hey @priyank_mod. This is correct. In our location if anyone don't activate their sim for 6-12 months frame, then SIM company recycle that sim and sell to other users. But one thing also wanted to say that- In Fiverr when you want to add Phone number, if those phone number is added previously then Fiverr will tell you in a Red Massage that your phone number is associated with another account. So, I don't believe it will happen in that case. Main issue if any person Previously had a Fiverr account that was restricted by Fiverr. Then he/she can't create a New Fiverr Account. For this reason, I think Fiverr is restricted his account!
  24. So.... how are everyone else's green bars looking? Does the green bar mean once you get past it when it is invisible you're actually a 5-star seller? Because I'm getting 5-star seller vibes. It's OK, I'm just putting my own spin on a system that nobody understands with rating systems and doodads that nobody understands. Here is mine as a 4.9-star seller. 4.95 sometimes. Until recently, a 5. But don't worry, I'm really a 10, even though I have some 9s. And guess what doesn't have a little green bar, but the red bar is further to the left? So, yeah. Any smart people in the room who can decipher this riddle?
