Annoying Chat feature

Can you please make your chat interface a little more in line with the 21st century? Every time my freelancer and I chat I need to reload the page to see what he said. Not to mention the navigation of the webpage is so awkward I really don’t understand the designers logic.

I have had this problem from the changeover of the chat page. Or sometimes I can’t see what I just wrote and sent. I have to reload the page constantly to see the chat messages as we chat. The timing of the chats is mixed up too. The messages do not show up in order of when they happened as we chat. I’ve learned to adapt to it and just reload the page constantly.
