Applying for gig requests

Every time I apply to a gig, I am only allowed to apply with whatever gig appears in the box. Is there a way that I can change the gig I use to apply to one that is more fitting? It’s frustrating to apply to an article writing gig with a business proposal gig… Thank you

Reply to @kjblynx: This is exactly what I do. Offer the gig I can and then follow up with the gig that’s related. Don’t take too long for the follow up message though since they may be puzzled by the wrong gig being sent and consider your first offer to be spam.
