April Music & Audio Contest - with Loftprod 🎼

We’re back for round 2! I’m excited to kick off our second music & audio contest, this time co-hosted by the amazing Loftprod, winner of

! You are all in for a treat.

Once again, the rules are simple. Download this sample, an emotional string and piano piece composed by @loftprod, and make something awesome with it! Winner gets $100 in Fiverr credit, with potential prizes for 2nd and 3rd as well.

Use it as a backing track for an improvised solo on guitar, violin, synthesizer, or whatever you choose, write lyrics over it, remix it into a huge drop…any direction you take it works!

Here’s how it’ll work:

1. What you make either has to include a part of the sample provided, OR contain some of the same chord progressions/melody of the composition (if you want to cover it). Keep your submission under 2 minutes.

2. Submit your take in this form by April 27th, and post your submission in this thread. Extra points will be given to musicians that provide a video!

Once you do that, you’re in. Loftprod will help with selecting a creative and talented winner! Can’t wait to see what people put together this time around.

The sample is 110bpm and in the Strings Key is F Minor and Piano Key is C Minor

Plugins used: All stock FL Studio plugins, nothing special.
Sample Packs: Default FL Studio one shots, as well as some one shots from Cymatics granted for commerical use.
Genre: I’m not sure, kinda a hybrid of EDM, Disco, and perhaps a bit of House?
Time: 2:12, sorry for going over a bit. 2 minutes is quite tight…
Key: F Aeolian is the proper term, but its relative major is C# Major.

Anyways, I’m hoping for the best! I might make another one later.

Just a heads up there’s an error on the application form. The tempo is not 100 BPM, it’s closer to 112 than 110 actually.
