Bank transfer

hello, I just submitted my info about the new option to get paid directly into the bank account, I saw the the fee for each transfer are 3 dollars, and also 2% of the full amount for the currency conversion. That would be kind of fine if I could decide when to transfer but then I read that it would be an automatic transfer each time the account reaches 48 dollars? did I get it right? I would transfer more each time it would get to 500 dollars, so I would avoid spending 3 dollars each 48 dollars revenue, did I get it correctly? or is there a way to just decide when to transfer? (like when you do through paypal?) also I believe the currency conversion fee via paypal is lower than 2% right? thanks!
