Buyer request asking for free rewrite

Morning everyone!

I’m new to Fiverr. I’ve just had someone ask me to rewrite some articles. But they want me to do a free rewrite first. It looks like they are asking multiple sellers to do this, and he wants me to do it in the next few hours. Seems a bit dodgy to me.

Anyone come across this before?

And yes, of course it’s dodgy. They’re probably trying to get all the work done for free.

Yes it happens sometimes. But it is not a good idea to work without a order from buyer on Fiverr.

Longtime seller here. Never work without an order in place.

Even if you’re tempted by thinking “it could lead to an order” still don’t do it!

Really, if someone doesn’t even want to pay you $5 to ‘sample’ your work - they are a scammer.
