Cancellation Message

When it comes to cancelling an order, it’s something I do NOT take lightly. However, what GOOD is it to write out the cancellation message for the buyer if the buyer NEVER sees it… In the last couple of months, I’ve had to cancel 4 orders - mainly because of personal reasons and taste - however, each time I was messaged by the buyer that they wanted to know WHY I was cancelling. Umm… hello, I wrote it for you in the cancellation box. To which I was told, they didn’t get a reasoning behind it… just a notice that I wanted to cancel.

Okay, the box is there for a reason, so what the heck is going on?! It’s stupid I have to repeat myself twice… grr…

That is odd. I thought when cancellations went out the buyer would get the message. I have had to cancel a few times and I have never had anyone question it. I was assuming it was because they were able to read the message.

I’ve noticed the same lately. I’ve had a couple of buyers ask me why I’m cancelling, and I’ve had to repeat everything I said in the initial message. I’ve now started copying the message that I type when I submit the cancellation and then pasted it onto the actual gig page so it definitely shows up while this bug (I’m presuming its a bug) is fixed.

Glad to know it’s not just me… And, I’ll be employing your same tactic Aingham. Sad that we must do that but hey… that’s Fiverr for you :slight_smile:
