Do I use OpenOffice to write Gigs?

New Here, just lurking so far.
Should I write article and blog gigs with OpenOffice?
I use both Mac and Windows.

For just writing it’s totally up to you. Any text editor you have and are comfortable with works fine. You can save the file in a standard format so it can be read by anyone. In a pinch I have knocked out an article in notepad. It’s the quality of the writing the buyers will care about.

You can always ask them what they prefer when they order. I usually send files in .rtf format, but if a buyer requests it I will do .txt, .doc, .docx, or .pdf.
