Do you message old buyers for marketing purposes?

Do you ever message old buyers, for example to remind them of your existence and announcing that you are available if they have any new projects? Is this allowed or is it considered spam?

I am planning on increasing my standard rates and thought I’d use it as a marketing opportunity - informing previous buyers of the price change while at the same time indirectly reminding them that you’re here. But not sure if it’s allowed or not.

No because as a buyer I find it annoying 😉
It’s like those annoying email ads, but the difference is that I didn’t sign up for it.
