Does Rating Help With Business?

Good day to everyone,
Is it true that high rating pulls the traffic (buyers) more than the level that shows above seller’s profile? Do buyers care whether it’s a bad rating or high rating? Same question about Profile Review…will the bad reviews affect Fiverr Algorithm?

Pulling in traffic is more influenced by overall gig performance than by any single factor like reviews. Reviews, especially the private questionnaire given to buyers, can definitely have an impact on gig performance, but it seems to be a very complex multi-faceted process that Fiverr doesn’t make publicly known.

Now, do buyers care whether a seller has bad reviews? That is dependent on each buyer and the ratio of reviews. If a seller has, say, 200 reviews and a 3.7 star average and a noticeable number of 1 and 2 star reviews; that could very well repel buyers who consider that a warning sign.

If a seller has 500 reviews and a 4.9 star average with most of their reviews being 5 stars but a handfull being 1 or 2 stars, most buyers will interpret the seller as delivering what is promised, but having experienced some bad apples.

This does make sense considering if I were to be a buyer I would simply pass on to another gig, it’s just a mindset. So getting good ratings play a big part on the profile/gigs :face_with_monocle:
Thanks for your answer!
