Ever Had Competitor Trying to Buy Your Gig?

Hello All, I had a really weird situation that I wonder if anyone else has experienced.



We are a radio network of 14 stations of talk and music genre’s Yesterday I got a gig order from a competing station They wanted to place an ad on our stations telling people to go to their stations. They didnt even use the standard 5 buck gig they got a 20.00 extra. I cant fathom that this was anything other than them being sarcastic tho they spent money. This would be like ABC taking out an ad to run on NBC telling people “quick switch channels right now” So of course i requested a cancellation which they have not responded to yet. My question here is if they reject the cancellation… what are my options? And are mutual cancellations truly going to affect my ranking?
