From being the top top rated seller to Level 1 in 31 days

Hello, I was the top top rated translator in fiverr for a while and now thanks to their new incomprehensible promotion/demotion system I went from top rated seller to level 1 in just 31 days after my response rate dropped to 88% for not answering some spam messages.

Anyways, even though I’m answering everything on time the response rate keeps at 88%, then gets to 91% then drops again to 88% and I get demoted. According to support, that has to do with the spam messages I didn’t answer 2 months ago. I don’t know how it works, you’ve seen it in action too I suppose and understand what I’m saying.

The question is, can I still be demoted below level 1?

Any success stories about promotion? I mean, I have about 3500 positive reviews and almost 10,000 orders in my history but I heard that it is up to support to decide and not automatic (while demotion is automatic)
