I created a picture for my gig, which looks great on my laptop, but when I checked it on the mobile app, the picture is clearly showing at a different aspect ratio (it’s more square) and it zooms in on part of the picture so you can’t see it all properly, and that does not look good.
What file type, aspect ratio and pic size should I be using to create something that looks good on both desktop and mobile sites?
It is 1:1 ratio.
Resolution about 500px should be quite enough on this purpose.
.jpeg or .png are fine.
EDIT: I am sorry, I misunderstood. I thought your concern is about profile image. But seeing your Gig’s images I understand what you mean. I got the same experience but have not found solution for that yet.
