Habitual spam messages

#1

I have been sent the same message from at least six different accounts in a week or so. The first message is always goes like this…

Them: Hey

Me: Hi!

Them: I have four projects. Are you interested?

Me: (Casual opening conversation lines, questions etc.)

Them: Please contact my boss. Asal dot peek at yandex dot com

The first time I receive this message, I gently explained that Fiverr doesn’t work that way and that they would need to work with me directly through this website.

Every account that has messaged me like this has gotten closed very shortly after.

What are they trying to pull people into? How does this keep happening over and over?

Yes; you are right, but i am here to write you that please i don’t have the information how to write the peoples who are looking for the freelancers to work. I am a freelancer and have good experience but waiting for the right person

It happens from time to time. Basically, it’s the same old “contact me outside of Fiverr so I can pay you directly and so you can earn more” scam, and those who fall for it end up not getting paid.

#4

Another problem is that if you don’t repond to this messages, then your reponse rate is dropping…

#5

Happened to me and CS fixed it.

#6

Probably to trick you into a scam site + “oh lets do it outside where the support cant help you nor save you cause you know, you’ll earn more money and who doesn’t want to do that (;”

#7

In this case you have to use a different platform. Not Fiverr.

#8

If they stupid enough to deliver before getting paid they deserve to suffer.

#9

Today, noone wants you to earn more and that also from his pocket. So its clearn he will cheat you!

#10

I also used to get these messages. Initially I kept ignoring and/or reporting them. Once, out of curiosity, I did email… They basically were trying to score a FREE GIG!

Guy were like, you need to show us what you can do… promote my link as sample. If good, we will give you order worth $thousand$ etc etc… I told em to F*** OFF

#11

does this affect your response rate especially when you fail to respond

#12

That’s weird. Sorry you have to go through this!

#13

Right you are

#14

If they spam you, you can always respond as “Hi thank you, I’m not interested” since only the first message counts for your response rate.

#15

This is considered spam too.

#16

My response rate drop to 76% because of these spammers. I don’t respond to messages with only one word like “Hi” or “hello”. I hope that fiverr do something about this…

#17

Brilliant idea and I always do that to maintain my Response Rate high
