This is a very peculiar situation here. Unless you have a large exposure in social media, getting commissions purely by your current art level will be a something. Perhaps you can try and find a more suitable sub-niche for your art? For example, illustrations for children’s book? I see those popping up a lot. And I mean -a lot-.
Otherwise, regardless of what niche you select to offer your gigs in, always check your competitors and think about “How can I make myself stand out”.
