I don’t think so, As long as mentioning whatever is compulsory to complete the order are allowed, but make sure to do them in order page.

You can’t. You could use a zip file. You could also use an app to send larger files. This is allowed on Fiverr provided it is vital for the completion of the order and for no other use.

@insects44 You can use a third-party program under the condition I state above, but popularity doesn’t determine if a program is allowed for Fiverr seller use. I don’t know where you got that from, but please don’t perpetuate such things unless you can corroborate them. Fact check before advising, please.

Zip files don’t always compress enough this video files, you need a special program for that. Also, it’s not against the rules to mention a program that will speed a seller’s workflow, the seller will be thankful for that. And it’s too easy to check if a program is trustworthy, just google it.

Fact check before advising, please.

I think there is nothing against my opinion in TOS: https://www.fiverr.com/terms_of_service

Where in the terms of service does it say that a platform is permissible as long as it is popular, which is what you said? That’s the part I objected to. As I just said, I know that using a third-party program is allowed under certain conditions.

I do agree, as I just explained. You’re misunderstanding me.

The only part of what you said that I said was incorrect was that “I think, if the software is popular, you are allowed.” Popularity has nothing to do with whether or not something is allowed here.

I didn’t misunderstand that time. Show me a popular software that’s restricted in Fiverr. Did you read the TOS? I read the TOS and saw nothing about restricted software sharing.

Here is the section which the restritions you talk about should be:

A warning will be sent to the user’s email address and will be displayed for such user on the Site. Warnings do not limit account activity, but can lead to your account losing Seller statuses or becoming permanently disabled based on the severity of the violation.

How many times do I have to explain this… There is no software restricted on Fiverr and I am not saying that there is.

I’m saying that “popularity” has nothing to do with it.

I think, if the software is popular, you are allowed. For example, Handbrake is the most common program for this kind of job and I think mentioning it and giving guides about it won’t be a problem.

No. You said this in this thread.

I was talking whether the software is safe or not, and that was the topic about in the case, I think. You don’t wanna get in trouble. Safety first, right? Then check if the software is safe. If it is being used by millions, it’s definitely gonna be safe.

Not sure why you would use “allowed” then, when we are referring to what is allowed on Fiverr.

Cause viruses, hackers, and scammers are not allowed, can’t you see the chain? If you share an .exe file, and the seller runs it without knowing what it is, it may be a virus that you created to hack him/her.

I know, thanks. I think what you are saying is that the reason certain platforms may not be “allowed” is because they are more likely to foster activity and files that include viral activity.
