How Reliable Are The Information Sellers Post About Themselves?

I am a buyer on Fiverr. What I have noticed is that often sellers says they are from “Country X” whereas this does not appear to be the case. It gives me concerns about whether I can trust the services on offer.

I have seen several examples where sellers said they are from “Country X”, which incidentally is my country of origin. Yet consistently their time zone is several hours out of sync with their country. If it was a handful of cases I would have thought that they were probably on holidays. However these cases are so many that I don’t think it is a coincidence.

I a new to Fiverr but I will like to build some confidence and trust in the services on offer.

I hate to say this, but the “information” is not always true.

They will say they are from a certain country.
They will say they have certain experience and skills.
They will say they can to A, B and C.

…but in fact they aren’t and they can’t.

If you want to build a certain level of trust with sellers, one of the few things you
might want to do is first, check their ratings and the comments.
If there is a negative, be sure to read that too.
You can also place an order to see if the person has the right skills.
If they don’t, cancel the order and get your money back, or let the seller keep
the money and you can leave an honest review to warn future buyers.

There are PLENTY of great sellers here, but not all of them are skilled.
You might want to shop around a few times in order to get the hang of it. 🙂

I’ve had great success buying here, but as Zeus says, some vetting is important. I always order a small or sample order with a seller that is new to me and I ignore sellers who seem dishonest. I keep a list of trustworthy sellers to go back to. It is a bargain site, but there are treasures to be found.
