It took me 45 days. Some people never get an order. Since the pandemic the number of sellers on Fiverr has doubled or even tripled. You need to make your gig stand out. Here is some info on how to do that.

We’ve all seen these posts here on the forum from time to time. Many sellers have the same question: “Why isn’t my gig visible when I search for it?” and “What’s up with Fiverr’s algorithm? My gig is on the last page!!!”. In this post I’ll try to answer those questions, and give some (hopefully) helpful tips and tricks to help you rank your gig in Fiverr Search, and get more orders and better visibility. Buyers do not like you to use templates when you respond to a Buyer Request!

I wish more qualified sellers would bid on Buyer’s Request. I wish 5r would let me select the level of seller I want. I’m sick and tired of reading canned responses. I’m sick and tired of reading one sentence bids. I’m sick and tired of writers with grammar errors bidding. I’m sick and tired of proofreaders, who misspell “proofread” bidding. Remain online and continue to help others. That’s what I have learned. In order to work on Fiverr, you need to constantly provide value to others. Either help people in your niche or provide great value. I hope that helps.

Try to help people via this forum. It will help your online freelance reputation.

Make your gig as attractive and worthwhile as possible. Ensure your potential clients that they will get the exact value for the price or even better. Keep researching your competitions and stay up to date. Keep replying to buyer requests, it’s an effective way to land you first order.

Making money on Fiverr is becoming more difficult these days, with so many new people joining up hoping to earn money on Fiverr quickly. Here are my thoughts on this - and, yes, it involves some work and thought before publishing a gig!

People keep repeating the same wrong advice - and newbies are deceived by it. Here’s my take on it - share if you feel so inclined:

So many newbies are being taken advantage of here on Fiverr by a small minority of predatory “buyers”. This is my take on how to protect yourself, thereby reducing the chances of a cancellation or negative review.

Unless you’re giving out good advice, you’re probably hurting your reputation. I skimmed your forum replies and it looks like you’re mostly correct in the advice you give, but advising others to ‘be helpful’ when they haven’t done the research only encourages spam.
