How to open a link

I want a seller to put my post on facebook for me but he said my link is not opened. I have posts on my wordpress blog. I took the url from one post and put it as a link for him to post on facebook but he said the link is not open. Am I doing this right? Where do I get the link from, Wordpress url or some other place? How do you open a link? I’m new to this
