I like spam in a can (kinda), but not in a message

So I got yet another spam message today where they told me they needed my help and to message them back. I said “thanks but no thanks” and then suddenly they became all genuine with me saying it’s not spam they actually need my help.

So despite all the alarm bells ringing in my head, I replied and said “sorry, so how can I help you” and then low and behold there it was, some bogus text document attached asking for account details!

The problem is if I don’t reply, my response rate goes down. I was at 100% response rate for months and then my first ever spam message came through which I reported and 'didn’t reply to’ and my response rating has never been at 100% since.
