I need some advice about subtitling, please

It is the only second time this happens to me, but, a client messaged me after I delivered his subtitles saying that he couldn’t open the files and if I knew how he could open then.

they work fine on my side, I even downloaded then again to test. so, I recommended the VLC player and sent them the subtitles in various other formats.

my gig says that I provide subtitles in .srt, .ass and so on…

I’m considering investing in a program so that I can burn the subs in the video when this happens.

What do you guys think I should do?

This rarely happens and I think both of these clients didn’t know much about subtitling, but still…

What do you think?
