Well, your gig text is stolen, so you’re already tanking your SEO and showing a lack of ethics and morals in the way you do business. There are at least three other sellers here on Fiverr with the same opening line and two others on Upwork, from what my copyscape report tells me.

Your gig description is also riddled with errors, typos, and improper pluralization - it’s very clear it wasn’t written by someone that can write in fluent English. Your third gig photo, the long one, is also far too small to be useful.

I hope you know a good job. There are many types of jobs in Fiverr. You can do them and keep Buyer Requests every day. I hope you get the job.

Hey there @thatwordchick. I’m just casually browsing the Forum for the first time, and your comment caught my attention.

I never heard of copyscape, how does it work? I’m a Digital Marketer and I’m thinking of outsourcing some of my tasks on Fiverr, think a tool like this would be very useful to find genuine people to work with! Thanks in advance!

Copyscape is pretty widely used in the copywriting sphere to check for plagiarism. It’s a paid system, which is kind of annoying, but it takes like three cents to 5 cents to check a pretty decent size chunk of text, so I don’t mind paying. I usually chuck $20 in my account at the beginning of the year and it’s more than enough to chip away at for months. Basically you just deposit money, login when you need it, and cut and paste whatever text you want to check into the search box. It gives you a list of all of the places that are using that same text, if applicable, and you can click through and it will highlight exactly where the text is copied along with the percentage total that has been copied.

The website is www.copyscape.com

getting a gig on the platform is somehow difficult these days.

Thank you so much for your quick reply, it’s very useful information. It’s annoying indeed that it’s paid, but it doesn’t sound too expensive for the value of the service it offers! I put so much effort and thought into my gig description, so I would naturally be very upset to see others copying it. I’ll definitely use it, much appreciated!

I’m happy to run a search for you whenever if you’d like, send me a private message. I’ve gotten my wrist slapped for posting Copyscape screenshots on the forums publicly :-p

I ran your gig text and your bio text here on Fiverr and the only thing that popped was your own website, so you’re golden for now.
