Is this message a spam?

I just created this gig, and the very next day I received this text.

We are a software house who builds web-based SaaS ecosystems for corporate and government clients. Our flagship product consists of the following modules; Sales Force Automation, Supply Chain Mgmt, Inventory & Stock Control, Point-of-Sales, Warehouse Mgmt, Fuel Mgmt, ECommerce, etc. Currently we are expanding into industrial and manufacturing sector and require new talents to spear head our new modules.

We need strong technologists in Laravel/PHP, Bootstrap/jQuery and MariaDB, running on Linux.

We require dedicated developers in industrial automation and who are skilled in Laravel backend controllers. Are you interested?

I am sure whether it’s a spam or not. The person does not mention any specific name of his or his company. Also, I have never received any order on fiverr so I am not sure about it.

What gig did you created, is it for software programming?

If you are creating programming gig, then this client may need your help with some work.
You can continue your conversation with them, but please note : do every job inside Fiverr platform.

Never accept if the client request you to do the job out of Fiverr platform.

It’s for software programming.

I don’t know if it was a spam or not but I asked him about his name and the company he works for but he didn’t tell me a thing.

Contact them and ask if they have a specific project in mind and if you would like them to make a custom offer for them, then see where it goes. It’s not necessarily spam. If you get messages like this also asking you to contact them outside of the platform or send them work samples so they can add you to their work directory, then you want to leave it well alone.

Sometimes people don’t want to mention his original name and company name and they like it to be confidential, it’s fine.

I see. I have provided him the details i.e. name and number. He said that the management will contact when he asked for it earlier.

Thanks though.

You’ve given him your number?

Don’t provide any personal information here.
Just have a communication with the client using Fiverr chat, if you give him your personal number that would violate Fiverr ToS

Sharing personal contact information is a violation of Fiverr’s Terms of Service, and you could get permanently banned for that.

You should contact your client and know all the requirements needed for the job. If you can do it then why not?

I am a bit confused about the last line you wrote. Do you mean if they are asking me to contact outside the platform such as WhatsApp where they said the HR person contact me, I shouldn’t?

Yes. That makes you vulnerable to a lot of scams.
To avoid issues like this in the future, I recommend that you read through this thoroughly: Fiverr's Terms of Service.

Yes, but we can ask about the requirement that need for the job through Fiverr Chat

Don’t give any contact details or agree to contact them. Any communication with them needs to stay on Fiverr. It’s against the ToS to go off the platform and can result in warnings or account bans.

its not allowed to ask those questions, you can get ban
