It's 2017 Don't everyone think fiverr required some system updates?

Hello , Everyone !

Happy New Year

( I know i am late for wish but after all it’s new year late wish to everyone :smile: )

After all it’s 2017 and fiverr still using some old styles . Based on technology matter. and it’s need to update , However this issue are came from every single gigs seller. ( Based on reading lot’s forum and my personal experience with fiverr.com )

Here is few points that need to change : ( let me know your opinion , maybe we can send our voice to fiverr founder ? )

  • In Message Feature : We can’t write more then 1200 characters . ( Need to change to 2000+ , Something like 3500 ? )

  • In Gig Description Section : We can’t write more then 1200 characters . ( Need to change to 2000+ , Something like 3500 ? So we can explain our gig more clear and make confident on buyer and get more sales ? What you think ? )

  • Order Delivery Feature : Need to increase uploading limit to 150 MB to 500 MB ? So we can send explanation video with delivery ?

  • In Message Feature : Same as delivery feature , Uploading limit need to increase from 30 MB to 100 MB ? So we can attached explanation video file or anything direct though fiverr message? instead of using Dropbox ?

  • Required a message live chat / video call feature ? something like skype ?

  • Messages Conversation is totally blind for now ! We don’t know what happen when we send message . It just show us message sent ! don’t we need to know that message is read by client , delivered and sent ? something like WhatsApp ?

  • Customer support is take 24 hours to get back to us , sometime more then 48 hours , no live chat support ?

  • Gigs portfolio section need to bigger / smart ? something like big gallery ? so we can show our work more clear and on high resolution ?

  • We need more deep analytic section in gigs section ? so we can managed our gig and improve more ?

  • Profile section also don’t need to update ? right now it just show us a profile picture and our gig and small description our self . very stylish right now !

  • All Buyers have refund protection , So where is sellers payment protection ? don’t required seller protection things ? after all great talent also required protections ? don’t think it’s unfair with sellers ?

  • Order Working System : When we do all conversation with buyer and after conversation done , we start order and no connection with messages ? why this transformation ? can’t we do order / messages together ?

For Example : When buyer contact us via fiverr application they communicate with us via messages and after order start they still communicate with us via messages . And we are see everything on message and send reply on order page ? what is that mean ? means dual conversations ? :laughing:

  • Buyers Request Feature : right now it’s looks everything mixed on that page , but can’t fiverr make something like search and apply ? instead of send offers ? How can we send offer without know how type of complex work is there ! we need to discuss first and then we can send them offer and time. right now it’s just send offer without more info!

Let discuss more about this , is anything still pending that you think need to update ?

My intention is to suggest something that needs update on the Fiverr platform, so we can see something amazing! I like Fiverr a lot, as many others do, but I just want to help more to improve everything !

I took a crack at cleaning this up for Western readers:

Here are several points that need to change: (let me know your opinion , maybe we can send our voices to the Fiverr decision makers)

Message Feature: We can’t write more then 1200 characters . (Need to change to 2000+ , Something like 3500 ?)

Customer support: takes 24 hours to get back to us, sometime more then 48 hours, with no live chat support? We need faster response times and the ability to chat live.

Profile section: Right now it just show us a profile picture and our gig and a small description about the Seller. Very stylish right now!

All Buyers have refund protection, So where is the Seller’s payment protection? Don’t we need Seller protection things? After all, great talent also requires protections? Don’t think the situation is unfair for Sellers ?

Order Working System: When we start work after the Buyer orders, the messaging system switches over to the notification thread. Why this transformation ? Can’t we do orders / messages together?

For example: When buyer contact us via the Fiverr app they communicate with us via messages, and after the order start they still communicate with us via messages. And we are see everything on message and send reply on order page ? What is the meaning of this? This means dual conversations ? :laughing at the confusion generated by this:

Those all points are really good, But I think not everyone would like to discuss projects via video chat. So if fiverr introduces something like that then buyer will insist sellers to discuss projects via video chat and those buyers who don’t want to video chat for some reasons, will not get orders as they are getting right now.

And About buyer request section. I am a graphic designer and whenever I go to buyer request section there are new sellers who don’t know how to work on fiverr, they are promoting themselves there. I think buyer request section should be for buyers only. No sellers should be allowed to post a request. As those sellers who want to buy gigs they already know that they can search gig. so Fiverr should take this step as right now buyer request section is so annoying.

True about this but if fiverr provide video chat function you can explain your customer more great way and can show everything 1 -on - 1 can we can earn trust from customer . Earn trust from customer means more sales. For now there is message system but it’s like communicate with your buyer is like blind things.   • Agree with this. they don’t know how to work in fiverr just because they never read fiverr policy / terms & condition . After all there is lot’s between just 5 star rating. also fiverr need to upgrade some more great buyer request functions like post job and get bids type something.

What name do you like to be called?

In general, I’m all in favor of Fiverr making improvements.

However, I’m also aware that there are budgetary limitations to what they can do.

For example, I believe increasing the upload limits would be wonderful, but when you increase 30 MB to 100 MB and multiply that increase by millions of uploads per year, that would cost a lot…

I just don’t have the background or enough information to comment knowledgeably on this topic.

Not a good idea. Imagine you are looking for something on Fiverr and every gig has 3000+ characters in the description. It would create a lot of difficulties for the buyer to compare the GiGs and as a result the conversion rate will decrease(Fiverr’s) dramatically. Along with there is no need for so much characters in the message; what would you write in a message that will cross 1200 characters? Plus, it will create a heavy load on Fiverr servers and slowdown the database execution.

Majority of the sellers here are not native english speakers as compared to the majority of the buyers. So, it will create trouble for them when buyer asks to come in a video call.

Rest than these, your other points are reasonable.

Yes we all are in favor of fiverr . there is no budgetary limitation. they charged everywhere both side for buyer / seller . $$

  • About Upload : There is also required something like after 48 hours upload will be remove . time limitation.

As you mention there is million user then how can fiverr have budgetary limitation ? think about it ! and making changes in some system function don’t required lot’s $$ in development , there is lots minor changes need to done by fiverr.

if you are buyer / seller you can suggest something here …

I am hugely in favor of increasing the gig description limit, but that is also because I am advertising my gig in two languages. Of course, having two gig descriptions, depending on system language of the viewer, would be another amazing solution.
