New Notification/Messages/ Dashboard look?

I dont know about you guys, but the new notification and messages way is so bad for me. First of all I dont know why did they put it in 1 menu item. The popup that gets down is not allways easy to click, and its the thing that we use all the time. Old system was waaaaay better, and I dont know whwy they changed it ?
Also there is a click more to get to the dashboard, if I was a new user, I wouldnt even know there is a dashboard. This 3 links have to be separate becaouse they are used the most often.
