I just joined Fiverr and posted my first gig for Arabic & English translations. I feel confident in my abilities to deliver a good product but of course it’s all about marketing yourself and getting started. I have looked around at some tips already and tried to make the best gig possible, but I was wondering if I could get some more experienced users to look at my gig and possibly make suggestions for improvement. It seems difficult to get started and even get views here. I’m finding it difficult to even find my own gig using appropriate search criteria, so how will anyone else find it?
What name do you like to be called? Your customers want to know what to call you.
I took a quick look at your profile:
Your profile image: Assuming that’s your wife Nisha, she’s beautiful, but I have no idea why she’s in your profile image, or why you talk about her in your profile text. What business purpose does that serve? I suggest that you choose an image of yourself, in a closeup of your smiling face.
Your log line: Is pretty dry. I suggest you beef it up with more key words, especially the languages with which you work.

All your gigs should have video, 3 images, 2 pdfs, and so on…
Make a video of yourself talking to the camera, because this approach garners IMMEDIATE RESULTS. Include additional samples in the video!
Please study these screen shots and try to figure what’s going on with your gigs. Maybe you didn’t finish the process, maybe they’ve been denied. You may need to post screen shots in this thread if you can’t figure out what’s going on.
As a general rule, when I have time to participate in the Fiverr Forum and I notice a request like yours in the “Improve My Gig” section, I am willing and able to look at a Seller’s Profile and one gig one time.
I can give you a better level of assistance if you first work your way through the checklist below. That way, I won’t waste your one turn by advising you to follow items on the checklist. Please study this thread to better appreciate what I’m talking about here.

Thank you for taking a look. I was a little confused in filling some of this out, it seemed some of it was asking for more details about me as a person rather than the business. I will straighten it out a little bit. I had plans to use a different picture but that is all I had available, but that will be changed as well. As far as the gig not showing up for you, it shows as active under my gigs, so I’m not sure why that would be the case. That would definitely be a problem if it’s not showing up. I haven’t gotten any kind of notice about it not being posted and it’s listed as active.
Oh, and which are you referring to as the “log line”?
I suggest you post screen shots to this thread to help nail down what’s going on with your gigs.
You have to be proactive about what’s going on with your Fiverr business, because Fiverr’s too busy to keep up with what you’re doing, especially when you have no gigs showing and no reviews.

Ok now it is showing as pending approval, even though it was marked active before and had gotten just a few views. I made a change to my pricing, would that have pulled it from active status?
The ways of Fiverr are mysterious and hard to discern.
You might want to open a ticket with Support.
No one on the Forum can really tell you what’s going on or do anything about that.
I figured it out. The problem was to an edit I had made just before making this post and it was made inactive. The gig is back up now if you’d like to take a look.
