"New Seller" for over a year?

I was checking out some gigs, and saw that on some sellers the level shows up as “New Seller”, but when I checked out their profiles, they were sellers for like over a year already :smirk:

I understand that they did not obtain any level thus far, but mentioning “new seller” after they’ve been sellers for a year or more is kind of misleading to me, and I reckon to buyers as well.

I also noticed a pro gig that pre-existed and already has 40 something reviews. It’s clear that the seller in question turned a regular gig into a pro one, something that Fiverr staff told me I COULDN’T do.

Good eye!

The “Pro” gigs have the “Not rated yet” badge which would fit for those sellers who haven’t reached a badge level.

Maybe they are buyers who turned into sellers and just recently launched new gigs.

In my imagination, you can be a seller for 10 years and still carry the “new seller” title if you weren’t able to make 50 sales in two months still. What if they are around for years but haven’t made a single sale yet? Just because they registered years ago, it doesn’t mean that they achieved any experience, due to the lack of sales most likely.

Exactly so. My Profile shows that I’ve been here since 2014, but until Feb, I was only a Buyer, so I showed up as new when I started selling a few months ago.

I just got back on fiverr this year after registering since 2012 (5 years ago if I’m correct). Some poeple might have even forgotten they have an account on fiverr.
