No Response Required?

Is it too much to ask that Fiverr accept that sometimes a response to a message is not needed or even appropriate? Given that rankings can now be badly affected by less than 90% response and all sellers are now under constant threat of demotion by automated algorithms, perhaps a ‘no response required’ button would be a good idea. Generally, I seriously doubt the effectiveness of using punishment rather than incentives to improve the efficiency of sellers.
