Fiverr Forum

Notice for buyers - new fee. Please read

#1

As you may or may not know Fiverr has recently introduced a processing fee on orders. Sellers do not receive any portion of that fee. If you find that you no longer wish to make purchases on Fiverr, please contact Customer Support and let them know.

By the time the money gets into my bank account I only get about $4.50 from an order!

50 cents? I get 4$ from 5 $gig. 1$ goes to fiverr. And than some extra fee when i withdraw.

Thanks @itsyourthing for pointing it out. A lot of buyers think that we sellers get more… but we don’t.

The fact is that Fiverr will probably not change a thing. When and if buyers all start to leave the site they may take a look. But it would take a LOT of people to leave.

This forum we all communicate on makes up very little of the actual site traffic Fiverr get’s. Like 1%.

Most people who buy on Fiverr never even visit the forum or know it’s here.

So the people who make up most of the Fiverr sales think it’s normal and will thus not care or complain.

We Forum members are a minority. We consist of sellers mainly and buyers that have been with the site forever. You figure there’s what… 50 of us that post regularly? Fiverr get’s millions of visitors. You do the math. LOL

What’s even worse? If for some reason Fiverr did take notice and enough people left… by then it would probably be to late. The buyers would already be gone for good.

Just curious, why does the buyer needs to contact Customer Support if they aren’t going to purchase anything anyways?

#7

Reply to @jackyheshi: It’s to persuade them that this is hurting business and if multiple users speak up they may change their mind.

#8

Reply to @seanc99: ah, thank you.

#9

I doubt Fiverr will change it, but at least if they know for certain that the fee is actually causing buyers to go elsewhere, there’s a slight chance they’ll do something.

#10

I think sellers should threaten to quit over it.

#11

Here’s an idea, to avoid overwhelming customer service, post your complaints on Facebook, right here: https://www.■■■■■■■■■■■■/Fiverr

Reply to @melodynolan: Sellers are too busy trying to earn money to even think about starting a revolution.

Reply to @melodynolan:

Yes sellers need to quit the gigs I am doing so i have more customers

Reply to @foxyoxy: That’s if the gig was for more then $4 because a $5 gig you get $4 then you minus paypal fees. you get $3and change ! :frowning:

You left out the one-hit-wonders. The sellers who have made two dozen smooth sales and then all of a sudden they get that buyer and run to the forum in a frenzy to ask the old-timers to explain this new kind of crazy: "The buyer never left instructions!?!?!?!". And of course the noobuyer: "I clicked order, but nothing happened - where is my logo?!!?!" :)

Fiverr is a fickle mistress.

nice post !!!

but when a good and professional seller join and create first gig on fiverr who’s what to do ??? they are no rating and no selling…

#19

I don’t understand the issue about this. 25 cents per gig fee is no big deal at all. I have no problem with it…

Apparently you don't. It's 50 cents per $5 gig and ten percent by definition, on $10 and above.
