Order Complete Innacurate

Hey all, newbie seller here.

Someone bought a gig from me for something that had nothing to do with the gig at all. I told them it wasn’t what the gig offered and not something I could do under the scope of the gig, which is for blog posts or web content for legal websites. This individual wanted a sales letter for software she sells to law firms and attorneys. Not the same thing at all.

I asked her to cancel the gig which she did. Now, Fiverr is showing that I only completed 50% of my gigs–this isn’t right IMHO. I completed the legitimate gig I got and client was satisfied. Now it looks like I’m flaking and not finishing my gigs.

How can I avoid this in the future? Would it have been better if I cancelled the gig on my end?

Thank you for any insight!

You could have told customer support what happened and said the customer ordered something you don’t offer and asked if they could cancel it so it wouldn’t affect your analytics. I’m not sure if they do that in all cases but sometimes they do.

Thanks, MissCrystal! I’ll try that next time
