Possible Virus Download?

I’m a new seller and I was contacted by someone who I thought was a possible buyer. They sent a download saying it had the specifications for the gig; I wasn’t comfortable opening the download. The buyer’s profile was also very new, which contributed to my doubt. I asked them to text the specifications instead and then they left the conversation.

Was I right to assume this was a virus download? Or was I just being a difficult seller?

I’d imagine so. If they just left the conversation without even trying to go into any project details, it was most probably some form of scam/malicious content or just an extraordinarily lazy or indifferent customer. Either way, you probably dodged a bullet there.
