Purchased gig with istock photos

Hi,
I purchased a gig, ebook design using istock photo. Seller advised me that i have the rights to the image. From my research, people have wrote that the selling of istock photos here is illegal. I don’t want to release the book and then get sued. How can I protect myself. I was thinking of purchasing the image myself at the istock website to be safe. Any advice, thanks.

Fiverr recently added the option for sellers to be able to offer stock images through Getty Images. Since your seller got the images from istock I would suggest to do a little research on their copyrights. Best of luck!
