profile picture is just a key to your personal brand and networking. definitely has an impact on your job opportunities.
According to many studies, big smiles in profile pictures correlate with good business relationship 😃
own pic on gigs can be a good option. personal opinion

From my experience, the profile pic doesn’t make any difference. Unless it’s terrible.
