Hello Fiverr Family,
I’ve been on here for 1.5 years. I’m writing this post not to declare myself as a specialist who knows everything about its algorithm/system.

NOTE: This gonna be a long post. In this topic, I’m writing only & only my personal opinions. And I hope here we can get rid of our confusions about the Fiverr algorithm as many sellers are consistently blaming the system (I’m here not to debate with anyone! So please don’t read if you’re used to doing that. But, I love to hear if you have any doubts/clarifications)

All of a sudden Hot selling gigs with top reviews lost their placements to the last page, It’s a Common Issue & Many sellers like us dying on this.

It’s really very very disappointing when you find your gig with a lot of positive reviews on the last page for a few days without having any negative reviews/cancellation/late-response/late-delivery.
You see some of the new gigs, low-rated gigs, gigs with Zero reviews on that area of search result where your gig used to rotate.

Your gig ranking depends on your performance, Everyone knows that Right?
Then what’s the reason for sending your gigs to the last page? -Actually, I didn’t found anyone has clearly stated the reason. If you have the right answer please share the references 🙏

As I said previously- Everything I writing ✍️ in my personal opinion
There’s nothing to blame Fiverr coz it’s a large platform for sellers like us & I truly believe that new sellers also need chances to grow their career on fiver as like you started with zero reviews.

Summary

You got some orders competing for those gigs with top reviews 👏.

  • You’re proud yourself to make your first money on Fiverr.
  • You ranked higher day by day completing orders with a great performance!
  • You got badges, Maybe level1 or level 2 or top-rated. (I don’t think that any TRS reading this post )

Now leave those boring stuff I talked about above & let’s find something that REALLY may help you rank again 😎

So, Your gig is on the last page which means it’s time to leave that space to the new gigs/sellers so that they can rank as you ranked from Zero. Take is easy, You’re not paying fiverr to place you top forever, although if you have got a number of 10k reviews.

 Maybe you’re thinking that those sellers will be your future Competitors. Don’t Panic coz, you agree that gig rankings are depending on performance 😇

Summary

When you were a new seller maybe you did some good practices to rank your profile (maybe most of us)
like -

  • Sharing gigs on social media or somewhere else. (Brought real traffics to Fiverr) or
  • Sending regular buyer requests.
You got viral- getting many orders and you don’t have time to do things you did to get ranked!

Besides making Money you achieved a lot of things, reputations, and experiences. You have been passing busy times doing hardworking on Fiverr, managing orders, your customers etc… Now, you have some time for taking a rest because you’re tired :hugs:.
And believe me, they’re aware of that 🤭

I would love to share this important Tip I got from a support assistant regarding this gig placement issue-
👇

Summary

A Gig’s position is based on seller performance over a set time period. There are many factors to take into consideration, some of which may include order cancellations, delivery rate, responsiveness, etc.

Rankings change and are not permanent. There may be other Gigs currently performing at a higher rate than yours. If other sellers are ranked higher, they may be consistently getting 5 stars, delivering on time, communicating quicker, etc. These all counts. We encourage our sellers to make use of social media to optimize their visibility on the Internet. The buttons on your Gig page should be used to reach out to your social media contacts.

We also suggest doing some market research to help improve your Gig’s conversion rate. This could help improve sales…

Don’t wait to get your gig ranked again for itself!
👉 Do Something that really helps to Grow your Fiverr Business-

  • Post your insights on Social media.
  • Write effective Marketing content targeting your potential clients!
  • Polish your public & Social profiles to make more professional!
  • Prepare yourself & step up again to get more Exposures (This time you have reviews)

Lastly, I would say If you can work like a robot :robot: you will be at the
Top Forever…

Thank you so much if anyone reads this post :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I experienced the same back in july and Gig position brought back to the front page after couple of weeks, again from yesterday it started to happen again. Anyone with me facing the same?

I know it’s for helping newcomers and I appreciate that because I also came to this position when I started Fiverr 2 years ago. After all, fiverr gives chance to everyone and securing that is based on the performance and quality of service.

P.S: You should not give up at any time, try to get orders from Buyer request during those time.

Exactly yes!

No one should give up. If you don’t have orders you’ve time for doing something to get orders.

Thanks for putting in effort to the post!

Wrong gig placements has been my problem as well since last year, and can confirm that your performance makes absolutely no difference in the amount of impressions you get, so trying to get everything to 100% is not something one should aim for if wanting better gig placements. But small average response time is a good thing to have.

I thought you might have got some answer to this on going problem. But this was just another post with that motivational write up. Anyway, thank you for taking time and posting it.

And please remember that sellers who have been on Fiverr since many years have given more profit to Fiverr than those who are just starting out. Removing them from search results completely makes no sense at all.

Cheers !!
