I just noticed that buyers have to add a “tip extra” to the order before it’s been completed. Most buyers aren’t going to assume that the work will be wonderful enough to warrant a tip before they’ve even seen it! So, with my new-found knowledge, I just explained to a client (who should be super happy with my work and ridiculously speedy turnaround, if I do say so myself) that they would have to buy another gig and fill in the instructions with “thank you tip” or something similar. Not intuitive, not easy and not the best way to communicate that a tip is appreciated but not expected. Nice one, Fiverr. Oy vey.
