Revised deadlines

There have been a couple of times where my client has been happy with a deadline slightly beyond that stated in my gig. I assumed that he could state the agreed deadline when placing his order but I now realise that he doesn’t have this option.
He and I are fine but obviously I’m concerned that what looks like a messed-up delivery will impact me in some way on Fiverr. Is there any way around this?
