Sample work

Hi all. I have another question if you don’t mind. How do you go about giving samples. My writing is a bit different than looking at a graphic design piece or something. I find that a lot of people are asking for sample stories and I wonder if they just want a free story. In the past I have given samples to people but only if we had discussed their project prior.



I was thinking of coming up with a $5 Gig with several short stories that I have not sold the rights to as a sample for anyone interested in checking out my work. Do you think this is reasonable or should I just give them a sample already? ha ha.
