If you are reading this post, then you are seriously contemplating the idea of someone else editing your voice over audio for you. But, you are probably still wondering… “can paying someone to edit my audio for me REALLY save me time, or more importantly make me more money!?” The answer is YES!
Now, there are Fiverr voice over artists who charge $5 for 100 words, some for 75 words and some for even 50 words. The math will be different for each of you, but one thing is for certain, you would ALL benefit from delegating your audio editing. You could decrease your delivery time, which would bring in more orders, and you wouldn’t even have to work any harder or longer for all the extra revenue that would come in!
The math is based on the assumption that voice over audio production is 50% recording, and 50% editing. In my audio editing gig, I charge $5 to edit 400 words worth of script audio, so that is what I use here, but whoever you choose I’m sure would be about the same. Below shows you what happens when you are able to free up the time normally spent on editing, to be used for more recording! Let’s get to the math!

$5/100 words-----------
$5/400 word edit = $1.25/gig edit cost… $5.00 Gig price -$1.25 edit fee -$1.00 Fiverr fee= $2.75 net gain per gig… $2.75 x 2 (record 2x more in same amount of time)= $4 (you edit) turns into $5.50 (they edit)… That is a 37% increase in productivity and revenue potential. That means: A $100 day can be a $137 day… A $600 week can be a $822 week… A $3,500 month can be a $4,795 month… A $55,000 year can be a $75,350 year…

$5/75 words------------
$5/400 word edit = $0.94/gig edit cost… $5.00 Gig price -$0.94 edit fee -$1.00 Fiverr fee= $3.06 net gain per gig… $3.06 x 2 (record 2x more in same amount of time)= $4 (you edit) turns into $6.12 (they edit)… That is a 53% increase in productivity and revenue potential. That means: A $100 day can be a $153 day… A $600 week can be a $918 week… A $3,500 month can be a $5,355 month… A $55,000 year can be a $84,150 year…

$5/50 words------------
$5/400 word edit = $0.63/gig edit cost… $5.00 Gig price -$0.63 edit fee -$1.00 Fiverr fee= $3.37 net gain per gig $3.37 x 2 (record 2x more in same amount of time)= $4 (you edit) turns into $6.74 (they edit)… That is a 69% increase in productivity and revenue potential. That means: A $100 day can be a $169 day… A $600 week can be a $1,014 week… A $3,500 month can be a $5,915 month… A $55,000 year can be a $92,950 year…

I hope this helps!
