Spam messages with the clock icon

I got a spam message earlier, and before I saw it, other sellers had reported the seller and I got the note “this person will no longer be able to contact you” – which meant I couldn’t respond.

Four hours later, I noticed the message had the clock icon on it (meaning my response rate would be affected). I deleted the message. Does that count as a “response”? 😜

Sadly, if you delete it, it doesn’t count as a response.

For the next time (for I’m sure there will be!), unmark it as spam, send a polite(!) reply, and then mark it as spam again. There’s no guarantee that it’ll keep your response rate the same, but it seems like it’s the best way to deal with them.

I’ll try that next time, thanks 🙂 I usually ignore them, but I’ve been trying to keep my 100% response rate.

You would think if Fiverr has marked a message as spam, it would just go away.
