I get this question almost every week: "Can you make a sample for us?"

If you are interested hiring a designer, or any creative person. Then asking for free samples, is like asking a quick house drawing from an architect. We have all spend enormous amount of time and money, to become who we are and do what we love. That’s why clients choose us based on our previous work and feedback. And not based on free samples.

Exactly! I usually request that an interested buyer try out my $5 gig with a small sample of their writing, and I’ll do my best on that so I can see what I do. $5 is a pretty small price to pay to “try out” someone’s gig. Most professionals don’t do any work without a small fee–even a consultation appointment has a fee.
