The buyer side

It would be great if there were a buyer side of fiverr where sellers can search for buyers based on their wants…

Reply to @ceceliavo: That’s a nice idea, but I am not really sure if that would work since it can open up a can of worms with bad solicitations from sellers. In my opinion, if Fiverr did do that, I betcha they would also have to give buyers a “Do Not Disturb” option too. I mean look at Ebay. I didn’t like Ebay at all, but it is still the veteran of online marketplace and they never allowed sellers to search for buyers. Neither does Amazon, so I don’t think Fiverr would do that either.

@hotwebideas yeah I suppose your right.

Etsy tried that for a while, with a thing called Alchemy. Total disaster! It turned into a circus.

What I do is check the requests every day and see if someone needs something I can start a gig for. Sometimes you’ll see multiple similar requests, so that’ll tell you there might be a market for that particular thing.

Hmm I had no clue haha. I actually check the requests constantly.

I have gotten some business from the requests like I had to write a blog post for my local airport. LOL

I think it would be good if sellers could see all of the recent buyer requests at once instead of just the most recent ones that show up, all on one page (or separated into categories if there’s tons of them).

As far as no buyers responding, I think that problem could be reduced if the buyer had the option of marking the request as “complete” if they found a seller or “canceled” if they decided they didn’t want the service. Then buyers’ inboxes wouldn’t be clogged with unwanted offers, and sellers could concentrate on reaching the buyers who still want their request completed.

Buyers do have the option of cancelling by deleting their request.

Currently we already have the Buyer Suggestion Box. Usually if a seller (what I typically do) sees a suggestion that he might be able to do, he’ll shoot you a message and direct you to his gig, and I think that works wonders.

Reply to @mabelma: Agreed.

As@creativemind21 said if we could see all the requests at once it would make life easier. Myabe adding the date of when they were posted too so we know how old the request is.
