The more traffic you bring, the more exposure you will receive in our marketplace

I’m reading up on Fiverr’s support from their Help Center and under the question ‘How can I have my Gig ranked higher?’ we can find this answer (and I’m directly quoting from the page)
“Promoting your Gigs on social media, websites, or blogs is a great way to bring more traffic. The more traffic you bring, the more exposure you will receive in our marketplace.”
What does this mean? If I run a SM ad campaign, let’s say on Facebook, with the link of my Fiverr gig, as more people are clicking and coming in to Fiverr from Fb, my gig will rank higher on search results because of the traffic I brought onto the platform?
I’d be interested in an official reply/clarification on this…
