Timer does not stop during dispute?

I have a buyer who somehow managed to order 4500 words of website copy with 24 hour delivery.

Obviously a mistake I made with my gig extras.

Anyway, I am not able to deliver this order, so I started a dispute with a suggestion for the delivery time to be extended.

I know the buyer has 48 hours to accept or decline this dispute but in the meantime I now have a late delivery on my hands that will be 24 hours late before the order is cancelled if he doesn’t answer the dispute?

. I expected the timer to pause while the offer was in dispute?

How does this work exactly?

Unfortunately, it doesn’t stop when you ask for a time extension. You would have to go through CS to have this order cancelled before it runs late, if you think you won’t hear back from the client on time.
