Tips on how I can improve

Hey all, I would appreciate for some feedback on how I can improve on Fiverr.
I’ve read a bunch of articles and other forum threads on how to improve and I feel like I already do it all.
Except maybe promote my gigs on social media.

I don’t get any customers other than the persistant scammer trying to get me to work outside Fiverr.

Here’s my profile. I really want to grow my Technical Writing gig. It’s what I know best. Any tips on how to attract people to my gigs? I would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

At a glance, it looks like you’re specifically targeting the Spanish-speaking market.

Did you already build a buyer persona?

I’m not really trying to. The Spanish aspect is more like a plus.
“I also will write in Spanish” type of thing.

A buyer persona? Like a profile on the buyer’s side? No, I haven’t.

I ask, because the first thing I see when I glance at your Gigs is Spanish. People in general have a short attention span when they’re browsing, and will make snap judgements based on first impression. My first impression was ‘write in Spanish’.

Sí, estoy de acuerdo, ya que cada imagen está en español, lo que te hace parecer “haces español”. Esto está bien si esa es tu diferencia de puntos. Pero si no, es un asesino para el mercado inglés.

Yes, I agree as every image is in Spanish which makes you look like you “do Spanish”. This is fine if that is your point of difference. But if not, it is a killer for the English market (who are still a bit piqued over that whole Armada thing). Above is using Bing translator so apologies if I insulted your Mother’s goat.

For a genuine business, your pricing is suspiciously low. I note no work is shown either in image or pdf. Both give the impression that you may not be a reliable hire as “proof” is low.

Do as Ms 7413 suggested and get a sense of who your buyer is and then what they need to see to be comfortable that you are a strong choice for delivering the solution they need.

I wonder why seller don’t try out the gig videos. Even at the time of gig creation, fiverr tell us to put a gig video as it performs 40% better.

Thanks for the correction @imagination7413
They suggest a video. It’ not required unless a gig is in specific categories. And the exact words are:

  • Videos can increase user engagement by 40%.

“Can increase engagement” is NOT ‘will perform better’.
No video is better than a bad video.

Ok, I’ll change some stuff. Thanks.

Ok got it. I’ll up the pricing.

I have to say that based on what @imagination7413 stated in her first response here has given me an idea for you.

I honestly think you should be promoting yourself to the Spanish-speaking audience of Buyers.

I think that is a niche you may become very successful in.

I just looked over recent BRs and I ALWAYS see jobs listed for English to (different language) translation or Buyers looking for writers who can write in a different language.

I think that may be your strong point worth marketing as your primary skill rather than as an add-on.

Good luck.

Mr Ink ^ is right if that is who you want you customers to be. In which case, put everything in Española.

You still need to show real work though.
